Ben Sayers M7 Fire set

Hi all,

New to the game/forum. Just bought my first set of clubs, the Ben Sayers M7 Fire set,on the advice of the pro at my local golf club.

Was just wondering what perople thought of this brand/model in general and whether I have made a wise investment as my first set of clubs.

Have been told they should last me around two years before I need to upgrade.

Thanks

Just had a look in the reviews section and Ben Sayers isn't even listed... So guessing its's not that great a brand! Haha:-P

I've never heard of Ben Sayers (a person or golf equipment).

Apparently he was an early professional golfer. Just done a quick google search on the brand... Seems they were the first manufacturer to make a square gripped putter, first to create a set of carbon-shafted clubs, and they made a specially commissioned putter for Jack Nicklaus!

Most reviews online seem to be positive but just thought the opinion of the forum may be a more true reflection of the standard of the clubs I have bought.

Didn't he play for da Bears?

I looked them up and it appears to be a "house" brand, kind of like Walter Hagen at Dick's.  Great starter set(s)... just get out and play.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is a "house" brand? Actually off to the range tonight to try them out. Got terrible blisters on my hands when I last went and was trying clubs before I bought. I am armed this time with a glove at least but reckon I really need my first lesson to hurry up and get here as I am told that this is a sign my grip is incorrect/too firm.

Just wanted a fairly decent starter set at a reasonable price (£160), so it sounds like these should do the job.

Looks like they are in the UK.  Probably why not one here (in the USA) knows of them.

Yeh, think its a fairly well established UK manufacturer. Hadn't realised so many of the people on here were from the USA!
