Not sure if this is going to make me pull the trigger another year in a row....

One of my favourite Tiger games ever was the one where you progressed through different eras playing against different legends (forget which year it was) so I may consider buying it for that reason. However as I stated in another post, if they give us 20 courses but there are actually 40 I am going to be pissed.

I found that over the past few years EA (they are not alone either) has gotten very greedy when it comes to DLC and it is getting out of hand. For example on PGA Tour 13 after paying $69.99 to buy the game if you did not want to wait to earn the coins to unlock more courses - which takes a lot of time - it was extra $75.00 which is absolutely absurd . I will wait and see what courses they offer, if there are not many changes then I will probably pass and keep playing PGA Tour 13.

Hopefully TPC Boston is back, my favourite course and it is not on PGA Tour 13.

I will probably buy it, and will buy at least some of the DLC... I didn't buy all of the courses that were available this past year, but I did get a couple of the packs... It's way overpriced, but I'll still do it.

I think you're describing Tiger 2005. It had Nicklaus, Palmer, Hogan, and Seve, and you had to beat them all to win the Legacy Challenge (or at least I think that's what it was called). I'll probably end up buying it. I bought last year's and wrote a review on the main site, which was kinda fun.

I preordered it, I figured it was time because I'm still playing '10! But what is the difference between the collectors edition (69.99) and the normal edition (59.99) besides price? And I heard this year does not have Rory, very disappointing...

If it's like the past years', the collector's edition includes more courses, at a better rate than if you were to buy them via DLC.

I'm still playing '12, the Masters. The DLC pissed me off, though. All the old fantasy courses like the Predator and Greek Isles were extra, and you couldn't even play some of the season events without downloading them. No coins, either-had to pay for them I believe. Still, I'm loving it still. Wouldn't mind starting over with a new player, though.

I'm not going left or right of those trees, ok? I'm going over those trees...with a little draw.

Same here, still playing The Masters.

Also, looks like it'll only be on PS3 and XBOX, and I have a Wii, so.... it's out for me, no matter what.

I have the current one. I was fairly disappointed in the move controllers for it. They did not work worth a darn and were not even close to real swing mechanics. I don't know that I will get the new one and the DLC is tiresome. I would rather spend money on real golf then DLC. Besides I am still pissed I spent money on "The Predator" track in TW 2010. What a rip off.

the hard lesson i have learned with regards to EA sports games is that they don't change their games much from year to year.  i tend to get more enjoyment with i skip years...madden 09, madden 11, madden 13...tiger 10, tiger 12, tiger 14...

the only game that i buy EVERY year is the college football, and it usually adds one LITTLE BITTY feature change each time...it's tough to justify 65 bucks (sales tax inc) for the SAME game

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? TIGER WOODS' AMATEUR VICTORIES YEAR WIN(S) 1984 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1985 10-and- under Junior World Golf Championships Boys    1988 Boy's 11-12 Junior World Golf Championships   1989 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships   1990 Boy's 13-14 Junior World Golf Championships, Insurance Youth Golf Classic   1991 U.S. Junior Amateur, Boys 15–17 Junior World Golf Championships, Orange Bowl International Junior Look at some other AJGA Players of the Year. How many of these names do you recognize? A few, for sure. I assure y'all, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios. I just don't get what the point is. Okay. I get that, then. Thanks.
    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
