I havent played golf for the better part of 10 years. used to play a decent bit growing up just kinda got out of it and would like to start back. the clubs i have from back in the day are going to be replaced. I have been looking alot about reviews and all that and from what i gather the Ping G5 iron sets seem to be a great value as i would like to stay below 250-300 for the time being. Alot of the stuff i read on them was from 2010-2011 and they seemed to be a go to set for high handicappers and beginners. Would yall recommend these or what are some other options? Would yall try to go with a newer g series of the Pings for any reason? Im not completely set on Ping but I know they are good clubs. I have no idea what to do for driver/fairwaywoods/hybrids. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks

Great suggestions above, I'll just add a couple that come to mind:
-Cobra S2/S3, both also come in "max" versions that are more forgiving.
-Mizuno MX 950, good forged set that comes with hybrids.
-Mizuno MX 1000, I've owned these and will testify that they are quite forgiving.
I'm a big believer in the Tour Edge brand given their quality and lifetime warranty, so I will suggest looking at a couple of them as well:
-Tour Edge Bazooka HT Max & Max-D, perfect for beginners and you should be able to find them on eBay brand new in your price range.
-Tour Edge Exotics XCG-3, I game these right now. Great game improvement clubs that, in my opinion, look better than most game improvement clubs. You should be able to find them either brand new or very gently used in your price range.
Having said that... I just pulled the trigger on a set of Wilson Ci9s with the FST ss105 steel shafts. Was looking for something that didn't look quite so much like shovels.
Should be here in a few days, I'll compare and contrast and report back.
