I've been Playing Golf for:​ 10 Years

My current handicap index or average score is: 10

My typical ball flight is: Mid

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Toe Hooks or Snap Hooks

Ok so here's what is going on.  On the downswing the right knee is kicking in towards the ball too much.  This causes the head to move away from the ball and the hips to move towards the ball too much.  Some movement with those two are fine but you're over doing it causing the toe hits.  Notice the red line

 

Compared to Zach Johnson, looks like you guys have a similar build.  Note the right knee and right heel.

Here's how you start to improve.  

 

Allow the chin to "hang" down.  Notice how there isn't any space between the chin and chest in the right pic.  The eyes being more down will help the arms, notice how the hands are into your body too much.  Should be hanging slightly away from you.  Also think the chin being more tucked, eyes down will help a backswing piece, basically increase the depth and angle that the hips turn on.

 

Also spend some time doing these drills.  They are going to feel horrible and ridiculous but stick with it and try to change the footwork as much as you can because it will get rid of those toe hooks.  If it starts to feel normal, you aren't doing it enough ;-)

I would say,

 

Stand a tad more upright. Loose the curve in your back, it inhibits proper hip turn. Since your hitting a 7 iron, your standing a bit too close. Your hands should be under your shoulders more. Standing a bit more upright with a non arch back will help a bit.

Big difference. At first it was very uncomfortable but that actually went away fairly quickly. Still hitting the ball toward the toe but the biggest difference was went from toe hooking to hitting a fade. Still trying to work on keeping my right foot down. Those drills helped a lot today. Will continue to work on my posture and ill read that article looks interesting. Also I'm trying to focus on my takeaway i feel like I'm coming out with my hands and underneath plane.. One thing at a time though!

Good stuff.  Yeah you're just sticking your butt out too much, feel like your tailbone is "under" you at address, like you lower back is "softer".
