How do you keep track of a nassau match with automatic 2 down presses. And how does the money add up? Lets give the monetary value 5$ original bet

Every press is simply a new bet for the amount of the original bet, in this case $5, and is treated exactly like the original bet(s), but for fewer holes. If you're auto pressing a Nassau, you have to specify if you're also including the long bet and each on-going press in the auto press. It can get CRAZY expensive and complicated in a hurry. You'll want a separate scorecard (or two) and use a different line for each bet. I also put a small "w" or "L" next to the players name on the actual scorecard to keep track and balance the wins and losses as they occur along the way. We're wimps and only allow presses when a bet is closed out, and nothing automatic. Presses are the option of the person who's down.

Team A wins the first 2 holes....match is 2/0....Team A wins next hole match is 3/1.....Team B wins next hole match back to 2/0

Let's say Team A wins front 3/1.....Team B wins the back 4/2/0    Team A won the front and a press, Team B won the back and a

press, Team B won the overall Nassau 4-3   Team B wins $5 total for the day

I keep the players score for holes and have the match score below that for each hole +1...+2/0....+3/1....+4/2/0....(lost hole) +3/1/-1

Over the course of 9 holes if team A won the first 2 and there's a pres the press is over the course of the next 7 holes on the front and if they win 3 and 4. Where is does the match stand

+4/2/0   Team A wins the original bet(+4), The first press(+2), The second press is halved(0). Team A wins $10

Probably easiest to explain using the most extreme example. Let's say team A wins the first 8 holes. At the start of hole 9, there are five separate bets going on. The original bet, plus an additional bet each starting on holes 3/5/7/9.

Team B then storms back to win the last 10 holes. At the end of the day, Team B wins a total of 9 bets. They win the original bet 2 up, as well as every subsequent bet (including the new ones starting on holes 11/13/15/17).

On second thought, it's not as clear as it sounded in my head..

If you are up two at any point of the side, you start another bet (the press). If you go up four on that side it starts yet another bet. If you had got up two and your opponet had eliminated that lead and got back to even, it starts another bet. And so on.

Yesterday my partner and I got up 2 on the front and it started a press. Our opponent came back and tied us, so it was 0 (even) on the original bet and we were -2 on the press and that started yet another press. We won the the 9th hole to win the front +1, lost the first press -1, and won the second press +1. The two presses wiped each other out and so we won the front one way for $5.00. I hope that serves as an explanation of how it works.
