I just read a review on the new Titleist AP2 irons. I love Titleist’s equipment, and I play some of it, (ball, wedges 1 out of 3 drivers I own) but I have just never hit any titleist iron that felt good in my hands. They are either too big, or too small, too heavy, or too light. Ive always wanted to play titleist irons because I think that they make a superior product as a whole, and it is comforting to hear that titleist is finally realizing that its ok to make a good game-improvment club for a mid handicapper. I saw some pictures of them and they just look beautiful… I think I might hold out on my iron search and give these bad boys a fair chance… : )

Titleist has made plenty of irons for "mid-handicappers." These models are a re-entry to that market. The 804s, the 775s that replaced them, the 962s back in the day...

Note that some of the models are cast. Here are some good sized images we got "somewhere." As far as I can tell they're authentic.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Potentially, do you think that the AP 2's would be a good set for an 11 handicapper?

Yes and no . At 11 handicap you are on your way to taking the next level in golf . AP 2 are forgiving irons but what you may need is more workable irons such as the Z series . Golf is about how to work your shots to favor you and not the other way around . It may be challenging but it is worth the Play time . Try to see if you can try the Z on the range . You will not be dissapointed... that i can promise .

I was watching round 1 of the Euro PGA tour in Abu Dhabi last night and noticed that Adam Scott had the Titliest AP2's. The commentator then also mentioned that he was playing the "new Titleist AP2's".

What a Great Plug. Not only did the commentator promote the new 2008 clubs, Adam then proceed to hit a 3 iron 230 yards 10 ft fromt he pin to chip for Eagle. I would have thought that Adam would be using Z-blades............ Any one see that?
