I’ve found FJ shoes I try on almost always slip in the heel when walking.  Some other brands do as well, but nothing like FJ.  And it’s at the point where my actual real shoe size (rarely worn by anyone) is even slipping in the heel

Do FJ shoes run long, is the heel too wide, or do they construct shoes without regard for the heel hold while walking?  Honestly the shape of their shoe last (the virtual dummy foot the shoe is shaped for) is bizarre (wide heels with narrow forefoot).

not to get defensive, but this isn’t a cheap product knock;  Nike shoes run excessively small, Puma’s current year is built for aliens, Adidas is all over the place and with atrocious foam insoles, and Ecco shoes fit nice but look like Jetson’s shoes.

Hello and welcome to TST. I haven’t had issues with FJ shoes slipping in the heel when walking. I do have a bit of movement in my violent swing but I suppose I kind of like that. But I certainly haven’t had any shoes I’ve worn slip in the heel where I’ve noticed it nor have any blisters. Have you tried True Links? I’ve had those before and they were very comfortable and well fitting.

I have two different FJ.   The older Contours are heavier but feel great and never slip.   The Hyperflex shoes I wear the most, started with a slight slip before they were broke in but now seem to be slip free and very comfortable.

I had a pair of Footjoy Greenjoys that I really liked and got for a good price. The fit was just fine. My only beef is that I wore them out in a single year.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
