Anyone Tried Scotty Cameron Leather Grip?

i bought a Circa 62 Platinum re-finish on eBay for a mate - it came with a leather grip. It had a nice feel apart from the stitching on the back which is think and in your way. He likes it and still putts very well with it a year later though!

My Teryllium 10 came with the leather grip. I'm in the leather business so I might be a bit picky, but I'm not impressed with the leather quality or the hand wrap work. I'm planning on having it re-wrapped with some automotive grade leather.

Messed with one and did not like it at all. The stitching on the back was weird and I had questions regarding what happens when it gets damp (esp. when playing in the humid summers). Visually the stamping IMHO was not well though out.

full grain or top-grain? Did it feel like real leather or was there some kind of PU applique?

It feels like a split grain laminate.

I am going to have steering wheel grade top grain put on mine.
