Horrible.  They looked like a bunch of APA 5’s.

It wasn't good.

In lighter news, played league last night and Alex Olinger was subbing for the other team. It's a 5 round league, so you play everyone on the other team once. I shot a 42 (out of possible 50) with my only loss coming against Alex on his break. I did see the table as he broke dry, but made a bad play. On the other hand, we were a man short so we rotated for our extra slot. Our team captain ended up breaking against Alex twice, and he broke and ran both games. Overall, we held him to 25 points, the lowest on their team.

Hold on to your butts! This is going to be a bit of a long post. A bit of back story: So I started playing pool over at my grandma's house when I was about 11 years old (1999). Most of my mom's s

Good job.  That has to be the longest post I've ever thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Before. Could find ay over the pocket picks.   This is my 9 foot olhausen. Was a tournament table out east in the early 2000s I would guess. A guy in portsmouth Ohio had three of them and I

Nice!  Olinger can get around the table!

Well, I’m gonna start this up again. Starting with a story.

My mom went down to Captiva at the beginning of November to spend a few days with her friends on the beach. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much every day while they were down there, and there was a pool table in her beach house, so that’s what they played. She loved it. When she got home, she told us about it, and we all agreed that we wanted a pool table in our house.

Back to the present. My bro and I came home one day to this beauty sitting in our guest bedroom, an early Christmas present.

It’s obviously not a full-length table (no way we could’ve fit a full-sized pool table anywhere in our house), but it’s pretty close. Obviously we had to assemble it first, but that took several days, as we lost one of the legs. Today is only our third day of playing it, and I’ve already played at least a dozen games. I love it, and we’re having company over tonight, so I’m looking forward to playing!

    • Yeah, it’s an old topic. Was more appropriate here than the 2021 TOC topic.
    • Haven't posted a video in a while. I have been working really hard on my swing... REALLY HARD.  Anyway, I don't have any new video to post. But I do have some old video to post.  I'm just sticking these here as a benchmark to where I was. The first one is a 2009 video of my driver swing. This is back when I was working with my previous swing coach. I was playing well at the time, handicap was around 10-14. My miss at the time was a snap hook.  I know the exposure stinks. Again, it's just a benchmark for me.    The next two videos are from 2015. At the time I was between swing coaches. My handicap at the time was around 16. Although I distinctly remember playing some great and some horrible rounds at the time. At the time I was really REALLY REALLY fighting the snap hook. Some days the snap hook would be manageable and I would score really well. Other times, I simply wouldn't be able to get off the tee. The swing coach I would get about a year and a half after these videos were taken would be the swing coach I'd end up sticking with up until now.  Again, I'm just sticking these here for my reference.
    • You really believe that nobody is 100% evil? There are at least 6,000,000 people that would have disagreed with you. But they're dead.
    • Over my lifetime I've voted in every presidential election for which I've been old enough to vote. I have voted for Democrats. I've voted for Republicans. I have voted for candidates who've won, and for candidates who've lost. My personal policy has always been to vote for the candidate of my choice, and then support who ever wins. If I'm ever invited to the Oval Office, I'm going! ... Again, it's pretty unlikely that I will ever get invited, but you never know.  I have to agree with you here. I can name some really good things and some things that I totally disagree with from every president in my lifetime.
    • There are so many other curses and obscenities he could have used to express frustration and he chose that. Really sad on many levels.
