Pebble / Spanish Bay / Spyglass - No Caddies

I'll be playing Links at Spanish Bay / Spyglass Hill / Pebble Beach in late September.  Normally, I'd get a caddie at each course, but due to COVID caddies are not available (forecaddies are).  I'm looking for some advice from those who have played there.

My current thought is:

Friday, Links at Spanish Bay - walk, with forecaddie

Saturday, Spyglass Hill - ride cart, with forecaddie

Sunday, Pebble Beach - walk with forecaddie

I play a lot of walking golf, but I usually use a push cart (they have some to rent, but can't guarantee them for our tee times) and figure it'd be nice to have the rest day in the middle.

Thoughts from those who have played these?  Forecaddie worth it for the first two days?  I feel like it is not knowing the course at all.

Of course, the ideal is to stay in the Lodge at Pebble Beach and get the full experience (plus a rate cut on greens fees), spa treatment, several on-premise restaurants for great meals... and a single-malt adult beverage while sitting on the veranda at sunset overlooking the 18th green at Pebble Beach.

Your plan sounds good.  Too bad you can't get caddies... but walking Pebble Beach is the way to go.  Remember to look over the cliff on the 8th hole to encourage your vertigo.

I would walk as much as possible. I think your plan (above) is the way to go. I'm envious, had a trip planned to Pebble before pandemic and had to cancel. Hopefully next year? 

My bag:

Taylor Made R7 (x-stiff).
Taylor Made Burner 2 irons (stiff)
Cleveland Wedges (gap and 60)
Odyssey two ball putter (white)

None of the courses are a tough walk.  You could consider walking all three days but your plan is sound. I think you will find having a forecaddie to be a good experience.  While he will not be by your side for every shot, he will help you a lot more than watching where your shot goes.  At least that was my experience using a forecaddie at Pinehurst.

You are going to love the experience.

p.s. Play the correct set of tees unless shooting 100+ is fun for you.

Thanks!!!  Super helpful.  While shooting 100+ isn't fun, I don't really have a choice.  ;)  (but, yes, I'll be playing the whites)

Walk Pebble to get the full experience. The cart paths are way over to the sides of the holes, so you would lose a lot of the visual beauty of the course. I would rather crawl on my hands and knees than take a cart😉

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
