Good day all,

I purchased a set of Cobra RadSpeed irons, and suddenly have a weird fade i never had with my old set of irons.

The Cobra irons has adjustable weights in the head of the club. Is that something I need to play around with to sort out the fade? Or do I just leave them as I got them?

Why in the world wouldn’t you play with them!? Lol. So we all know the Indian/arrow concept. That being said...play with the weights. Won’t hurt at least.

Probably not the weights, though it could be. The swingweight or static weight could have changed (and affected your swing), the lie angle could have changed (affecting the club face orientation at impact), etc.

I mean, if you can move the weights, try it, but… I doubt putting more weight in the heel will do too much.

Am just wondering if you bought the clubs after getting them fitted to your swing or picked them up stock off the shelf.  It is eminently possible that they aren't fitted correctly to your swing, which probably explains the fade.  Try moving the adjustable weights but it is doubtful it will solve the problem.

Were you fit for the irons or did you just buy them off the rack? If you were fit you should go back and have the fitter take a look and see what's going on. If you bought them off the rack, check to see if the store offers a "playability guarantee" ... see if you can get a fitter to put some dots on the 7i and see how you're delivering the club. That's what I'd do.
