I recently picked up a half set of vintage PGA irons for my Sunday bag (see pick) but I’m having a heck of a time finding anything about the brand thanks to the name similarity with the ruling body. Any seasoned golfers or collectors out there who might be able to lend me a hand? To be clear I don’t expect them to have value I just would like to learn about the history!

I believe in the 1970’s PGA brand came out with various iron sets such as ‘ Ryder Cup’, ‘ Professional’ and apparently ‘Custom’. You’re right in that they hold little value. Not sure of the specifics regarding history though.

Wow, You are right. They are difficult to find any information on them.

I will say this. I like them. They look really cool. Nice find. I hope you got a good deal.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.
