Just got a brand new Taylor Made Sim2 Max D driver (approx 525$).  It looks so sweet.  Just wondering when starting with a new club  what is the best practice??  Grip it and rip it.. slow and start hitting 50 yard shots move to 100, etc.. I dont want to mess it up with scratches or blemishes,  but I also want to get comfortable fairly quickly with it.

I am a 13-17 handicapper weekend warrior.  Play approx 30-50 a season in Denver Colorado..

Thanks in advance

J

It's a club. Just use it. There's no "warmup" period or anything.

It's not a car. You don't need to "break it in."
