Thanks. I have tried many things without success. Maybe I will email Sasho MacKenzie and see if they have a solution.

He's not really going to provide support for a radar that isn't his. You're asking for support for a third-party product. Better to write to PRGR (though I doubt they'll reply).

Response from Stack:

Hi Jeff,

This is one of the downfalls of the PRGR and there is no good way to work around it.   We have fixed this with our new Stack Radar as we have a minimum speed detection feature so I recommend that you upgrade to the Stack Radar to solve this issue.  I have put a link below to the Stack Radar with a 10% discount to help you out.

Started the Stack recently after toying with the idea for a while

For me the grit score is a great idea, you feel a responsibility to stick to the programme. Hopefully see some progress along the lines of other posters. Will keep everyone informed how i get on.

For reference I'm a new dad (8 months) and live in Scotland so its very much the off season so i have gone from little if any golf to basically none so I'm realistically stacking at the moment without hitting any balls. My garage doesn't have enough head clearance to hit balls in but i'm contemplating getting a decent net so i can stack and maintain my technique in the off season.

Happy stacking, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!

Had a good session this morning

I also did manage to get to hit some balls at the range couple days ago and was seeing driver swing speeds when hitting balls ranging from 108-111mph

I’ve always been able to peak around 108-109 but these swings at the range felt more like full swings and not max swings when hitting the ball so probably have seen some improvement

The big jump shown on the app is probably “mostly” down the the workouts introducing “Max” swings speeds (you can change this in the app) but even if I was just comparing cruising swing speeds, plus the evidence when hitting balls, I’d say there’s been a 2-3mph increase so far.

Sessions are quick and easy. Convenient for someone like me who has little spare time at the moment. Looking forward to seeing what further gains I can make!

You’re still pretty new to it too.

Speeds were a bit inconsistent tonight, had quite a bit of variety to them.

Can’t say I know why but definitely noticed more variety compared to previous sessions.

Despite the very minor disappointment not seeing any further improvement from the last session (I know this is going to happen a lot!!) I still felt good that I done it and have stayed committed.

I finish up for work on Friday for Christmas for a couple weeks so hopefully will get on the course, so will be good to get some on course swing speeds just to be nosy. I have spent quite a bit of time on trackman when I was in the Scottish Golf Junior Squad so I am pretty confident with my numbers so will let people know what I think when on the course

  • 2 weeks later...

Last couple sessions I’ve felt good. I’ve managed to PB on almost every different weight I’ve used except the 195g which most will know is the weight used to identify driver eSpeed.

i have noticed a very slight increase however in my 195g ‘Full Swing’ whereas my ‘Max Swing’ has been stuck at 102mph last few sessions. I do feel like I have quicker in me. My target at the start would have been to get to 105mph giving an eSpeed of 115mph. With around 50% or so of the foundations programme left I think this is definitely achievable

    • I agree with you, at least in regards to myself and playing. I can't really speak much for others. I assume that some people who are playing golf very often can notice more drastic differences. That being said, I do notice some differences here and there and sound and feel definitely have some say in which ball I end up liking. But that seems more psychological than physical. I've only been playing golf regularly for a year now and I'll play almost any ball since I often lose balls. However, since I've been able to get out once a week for a while now, I am down to losing only about 2-3 balls from losing 10-14 per round. Which feels huge for me and so I've begun to narrow down the balls I choose to play with. I've gone through a box of Vice Pro Plus, Vice Pro, Sugar, Titleist DT Trufeel and Kirklands. Bought a bucket of 350 used balls which had a majority of Srixon Soft Feels in there. I decided to give the Soft Feels a try and have really been enjoying them quite a bit. Only yesterday did I hit a Pro V1 for the first time and it felt quite nice. However, that all being said, I have to admit, I've played my best overall with Vice Pro Plus balls. I get the most distance from these balls and am able to hit them quite well. I am not sure on green side spin/grip, I think I'd prefer them to check up a bit more. But I believe one really big factor for me with these balls is that I usually club down when hitting them because I gain so much distance off of them and I also tend to bring my swing speed down which causes me to have a more accurate swing and ball strike. As opposed to trying to whack the snot out of the ball each time, which ends up in a slice 75% of the time. I do love testing out new balls though, sound and feel is always fun to experience.
    • I am in the same boat, I'd love to test a LAB OZ but nobody here has them either and I've never seen one played on any courses I've been on. Nor can I afford/commit to blindly buy something at this price and not know how it works for me. I've been playing a cheapy $60 Wilson Harmonized M1 for a long time and was looking at new putters but the price of a new putter is really off-putting. Thankfully I played in a tournament in November and ended up winning a brand new Taylormade TR B31. Will probably be playing this for a few years until I get to try something like the LAB OZ and once it's been discounted if I like it.
    • Day 92 - 2024-12-31 Feel like crap, but stayed after lessons and hit about 30 to 35 golf balls just focusing on the backswing stuff. I'm going to do some HackMotion measurements soon and go from there. If the backswing stuff is good, I'll begin working on the downswing, with check-ins. If not, I'll spend another week or two.
    • Day 1: 12/31/24 Slow motion swing work focusing on weight shift.
    • Day 241 (31 Dec 24) - last session of the year.  Worked with the 54 wedge focusing on not decelerating in the downswing thru the ball.  Much better distance control, ball checked well.  Good session…
