Not a fan at all of the band, but I really get irritated by people who drop that absolutely false quip about him being the second best drummer in the band because he could absolutely wipe the floor with Grohl

I haven't actively tried to compare when Grohl drums versus him. I know that many consider Grohl to be a fantastic drummer. Not my opinion, just what I read. 

Yea, sad to see him go. Foo Fighters are one of my favorite bands.

Depends on how you define "fantastic". How would you define a "fantastic" golfer? I don't even think Taylor was a fantastic drummer, certainly no Terry Bozio or Marco Minneman or Mike Mangini or Danny Carey or Neal Peart
