RIP Olivia Newton John. Here she is live, what a voice. Dunno how old she is here, but she was still nailing those high notes.

The chorus of this song is an earworm.

I guess she's not known as a belter, a powerful voice like Whitney Houston or a better example I'm not thinking of, but her voice is subtlely powerful, she's not showy about it. There's something about her tone or intonation I don't know singing, it's very distinctive and lovely to hear, maybe it's the accent coming through, it's a very warm tone. What a voice.

All great singers have a tonality that is pleasing to the listener. Sometimes they call it color. Others can hit the notes, but there is just something likeable about their tone. Her voice was very smooth and pleasant to listen to. Plus she came across as a very nice person. She was a national treasure in Australia.

I was ~9 or so when Physical came out and me and my friends waited for it to come on the radio as often as possible.

Much more recently (3 weeks ago), my daughter went to a theater summer camp and they learned and performed Grease so we'd been watching/listening to that A LOT lately as well.

    • Day 233: did a stack session.
    • Failed to hit “done” on yesterday’s post - so we start over as that’s two missed posts in the last couple of weeks.   Day 1 (9 Mar 25) - Some 50° wedge fun this afternoon in the backyard.  Worked on making smooth swings with good torso rotation - really zeroing in where I wanted the ball to land AND then making sure I watched the ball leave before looking up as the swing finished.  The latter focal point is one that has begun to pay as I’m seeing better green side accuracy - more up and downs made.
    • Just had a club event and played 5 nine hole matches. Shot 39-36-37-35-40. Just a really good weekend of golf even though the last 9 was a struggle to swing the club the last 5 holes. The highlight was a turkey to cap off a match for a tie.
    • Day 160 - 2025-03-09 Got some work in after a long day. Only about 15 minutes and only about 21 golf balls, but… They were focused on the backswing with a pause, then a decent bit on the downswing.
    • This weekend I knocked off #10...a short 375 yard par 4....hit a hooky 4 wood that found the sand left leaving 165 into the wind. I hit 6 iron to 2 feet and tapped it in. All I have left is a par 3 that has been tricky this year.
