Playing around with some putters at the local big box golf store about a month ago and was sorta in the market for a mallet putter. Tried a bunch of them and settled on the Wilson. I figured for the price the if I did not like it, I wouldn't go broke and feel like I threw money away. Now I have only used it for a couple weeks, but I have to say, this putter works as good or better than any other mallet putter, I have tried. Not trying to push any product here but I have a buddy who uses one also, and he is very happy with his (Blade putter). Just putting it out there if anyone is in the market for one. Don't let the price fool you.

They ARE good putters. I bought my father "The L" model. He really liked it.

I should mention that the putter had a bit of a special meaning for my dad. He was retired at the time I gave it to him, but he had worked for almost 30 years for The Chicago Transit Authority. For those that don't know The CTA operates the subway system in Chicago and The L is what most people call it, because in Chicago the subway is actually an Elevated train system ... i.e. The L.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I have a Wilson mallet putter that I got pretty cheap. It has a face insert of some type that makes it feel like I am striking the ball with a marshmallow.  I don't like it.

In a golf market where people happily drop 3-500$ on a putter which is unlikely to lower their scores much if at all, the Infinite line is a hell of a value. I like the Grant Park myself.

I actually bought the Bucktown and  went back and bought the Windy City. Have two Scotty’s sitting in the closet. My Futura 5 is slightly lighter than the Bucktown but i have an easier time lining up the Bucktown.

I have been pondering the Infinite Bean for quite a while. I don’t need another putter, but I still want to try one of those.

    • On my trip at Bandon. I have a couple of best shots come to mind. I had kind of a stupidly good short game shot out of some nasty stuff. I didn't really make any bombs putting.  I could say any drive I hit straight that was hitting directly into the wind, lol. That was nasty. I literally hit a ball like 150 yards right. I am going with my drive on hole 18 at Old MacDonald. 469 yard par 4, down wind. The narrowest fairway on the course, and you have to navigate two sets of bunkers. I stripe one down the middle, catch the slope and have to roll out to about 95 yards to the pin. So yea, that 370-ish drive in the fairway on a 469 par 4 wins the shot of the week.
    • Day 2: mirror work while watching some TV. Checking on some backswing stuff primarily - making sure I’m still steep enough in the backswing.
    • Day 88 (28 Jul 25) - Short session this afternoon after a full day of yard work at the house.  Worked on setup and tempo thru the shot with the 52° wedge in the backyard.  Hit about 20 balls total - just staying focused on the process.
    • Day 10: More putting with the metronome. Short putts feel really slow and long putts feel really fast. Getting more comfortable every day.
    • Day 301 - 2025-07-28 Watched a lot of golf today at Fox Chapel, but then came home and did some mirror work. Re-dedicated. Which is saying something, as I've been playing okay. But relying on my athleticism to just do "okay."
