$11.99 for a dozen. Granted there is a ship cost, but that's a great deal.

Titleist Trufeel are $24.98/dz at Amazon

Edit: just saw these are sold as used. Sorry. Still…

Bummer, they sure are hiding that info well. I didn't see it and read "prior generation" as old model.

@NHpro I saw that Amazon is selling Mizuno 2024 RB 566 Golf Balls for 20 bucks a dozen.

Perhaps those would meet your needs.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Or just check Craigslist for someone selling found balls. There's your best budget.

Right now Rockbottomgolf.com has Srixon Prior Generation Q-Star golf balls for $22.50 per dozen, if you buy at least 2 dozen.

They are 77 compression, which I believe is what you mentioned you were looking for.

The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it.

Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.

Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball.

My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70.

45 is too low for me to go.

Is that the current generation Gamer?

Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.

Yes, this is the 2024 model.

DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers.

A darn good 3 piece golf ball.

Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball.

To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better.

I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer.

The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.

Maxfli Tour, shop dick’s deals, add $20 coupon when u spend $100, 4 Dzn for $90 plus tax and shipping…it’s def worth the exercise…let me know how they feel…or just buy a 3 pack to test…have to give them a try…not a better quality / price point out there right now in the ball market…

    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙
    • Day 28: 2026.01.30 Managed to make time for a few swings out back today. Need a proper bit of range time this weekend.
    • Day 30, 1/30.  Six minutes this morning hitting a few more range balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Did this before leaving the house.

    • Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
