I’m currently playing off 6 and my bag goes from driver, 3w, 19 degree and 22 degree hybrids then 5i down.

Is there any point in having the 19 degree in the bag? I’ve always found it a love or hate club and not sure whether to keep it in there.

That's a tough question to answer without additional information.
For example how far do you hit the 3 wood? the 19 Hybrid? the 22 Hybrid?

Do you have another club you'd like to replace it with?

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I’m hitting my 3w about 240 and the 22 degree around 215-220. The 19 is so hit and miss that sometimes I’ll hit it 225 and then other times 200.

It sounds like you answered your own question.

The19 degree is only 5 yards longer but the average is probably lower considering the greater range of outcomes.

How often do you hit it?

Would you benefit from having a different club? Like an extra Wedge or maybe a 5 wood?

My 19 degree hybrid is interchangeable with my 5 wood, then I go to a 4 iron.  But as previously mentioned, you answered your own question…your not great with the 19 and don’t gain much when you do manage to hit it good.  For consistency… leave it out.

Having 20-25 yards between 3W and 22 degree hybrid is a good gap over 200 yards. You can get rid of the 19° hybrid and maybe add another wedge.

If you want to keep the club maybe you can change the loft's like I do for a better gapping.

3W (15° down to 14°): 250
2H (19° down to 18°) : 230
3H (21° up to 23°) : 210
4 Iron (23°): 190
6 Iron (29°): 175

I'm with @Typhoon92 on this one. I wise person once said to me if you don't have confidence in a club, why are you carrying it?

Think of it this way. There's a school of thought that says you should only hit shots you feel you have an 80% chance of pulling off. We can debate if it should be 80% or 75 or what ever. However, if your 19 degree doesn't produce results 80% of the time.... 🤷‍♂️

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
