Have heard good reviews on this ball and was just wondering if anyone knows how they hold up against the modern grooved wedges? I use a CG 14 with zip grooves and am having a hard time finding a ball that feels soft but wont shredd. Thanks

Ive used them before their actually pretty good also they dont hurt your wallet

They are pretty durable in my opinion but if they are not to u atlest ur not spendin 40$ on pro vs

I use the e6 and they sometimes last 36-54 holes before I decide to take them out. Then again, my clubs are a bit old, so I'll know in a few weeks how they last with my upcoming new irons and wedges.

I'll switch to the e6+ eventually, but at the moment, e6 is much cheaper and I don't see a significant enough improvement to toss out my e6s for e6+s. I'll be buying them before too long.

The e5+ has a urethane cover and the E6+ has the Shyrlin cover (spelling?)

I just picked up a 12 of the E6+ and I like them better then the D2 Feels I have been trying. I will try the E5+ next. I also found a Titleist DT Solo today and that felt great around the greens and putter.
Whats the difference between the e5+ and the e6+??

Also, the e6 is a lower spin ball than the e5.

Yeah. The cover on the e5 is softer. the e6 is more of a "game improvement" ball, while the e5 is more like an intermeadiate players ball. Sort of like the NXT tour. e5's dont quite have the greenside performance the NXT tour does, but they're damn close. Im seriously considering switching to the e5 very soon because of the better value.

Greenside performance? I completely disagree, I have found the e5+ to perform as good (if not better) then any other ball on the market.

Really? You think so? Ive found that the e5 tends to relaese more for me than the NXT tour does on half swings and under. Its takes only a minor adjustment in your landing zone. Ive only played 4 or 5 rounds with them but thats what ive seen. Which is good for bunker play (it probably is a better bunker ball) but i feel I have a little bit more control over an NXT than an e5. But like I said, they're damn close, but the nxt might just be a teeny bit better.

Played with one today. Absolutely nuking it (although I've been striking the ball better lately). With mid to long irons it didn't bite like the NXT Tours do for me. But with the wedge, 9 iron I spun them back alot. Not sure why. Feel was fairly soft. Definitely not hard. Probably for the money they're not bad. But I will have to stick with the NXT Tours when the game is on the line. Much more consistent for me. And maybe that's just because I've used them for a while and I know what to expect. I've been told that the e6+ is a slight upgrade from them. If that's the case, I'd probably use them.

They are great balls you cannot go wrong. Play an e6 for less spin, they will help you hit straighter drives. Play an e5 for more spin and control around the greens.

Sorry my comments are for the e6 and e5 I have yet to try the e5+ and e6+ but I am sure they are not that much different. So what are they going to call the balls next year? e5++ and e6++ or maybe e5 and e6 plus squared....

e5++ and e6++ would just be single increments on e5 and e6, respectively.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
