I am pulling my driver hard left off the tee box, not really a hook, just a hard line drive. I have a slight wrist sprain and think thats part of the problem, but I don't know the best way to fix this. Should I try moving the ball a little further back in my stance to make sure my club face is not snapping through and pointing to the left when it hits the ball? Widen my stance so I don't snap through so quick? Not swing for a few days and let my wrist get better and see if that fixes it? Any suggestions?

whats your irons like and more important what divot you take with them? most likely they point left of target indicating outside-in swing

My irons generally have a straight ball flight but I can hook them if I get anxious and swing to quick. I have a tendency to close my clubface right before my take away as I tighten my grip and this could be part of the problem, but I seem to do that more with my irons than my woods.

It can be an issue of turning your wrists inwards without even realizing it on the backswing, I had this problem before, go to the range, and for the first little bit keep your wrists stiff and then gradually work into bending them again.

From what I can tell, it seems that you are coming from out to in which is causing you to pull the ball. I have had this problem, and the way to fix it is to simply think about extending your arms out at impact and then turning them over.

are you taking an inside out swing path? or is it looking outside in?
maybe your swing is to handsy? ( using your hands to make the swing)
which wrist is hurting (left, right or both)?

these are all good recomendations, but another VERY important aspect of hitting good drives(or any other shot) is the spine angle. keep it consistent from setup all the way to the follow through.

Thanks for all the help. I tried all the suggestions and now am happy to report that I have a consistent little fade. That beats the hell out of a left pull. I am still not sure exactly what fixed it, but I think I was swinging outside in and the club face was closed by the time it hit the ball.

Here is a drill to try, it helped me:

-Get the grip end of an old shaft cut about 6"-8" past the grip (or any stick about 2' long that can be stuck into the ground).
-Shove into the ground at about a 45* angle and place your ball under the shaft towards the end.
-Hit balls, turning your left shoulder over your right knee or behind the shaft (make sure to keep your lower body still and not to sway). Keep your hands and wrist quiet, do not think about the hinge and let it happen naturally.
-Turn through to your left side. Make sure 95% of you weight ends on you left leg. This will cause the club to naturally fall into the slot and make it harder to snap the wrist. It will also help in hitting the ball first for crisp contact.

The shaft is there to help from coming the outside to inside. You can also add a tee in the ground a few inches in front and to the outside of the ball and try to hit the tee.

This is just something to try. I know when my swing gets out of wack, it helps me to focus on making a complete turn and getting to the left side. Hope it helps!
