It looks like he hasn't forgotten how to win. His victory at this week's Fort Smith Classic, which includes two 65s, brings him to about $140K in earnings on the Nationwide Tour so far this year. Another good finish or two could well bring him to the PGA Tour next year.

And because someone's going to make the obligatory joke, I'll preempt and make it myself: too bad this victory doesn't get him a Masters invite!

Ive got him as a friend on Facebook! (seriously).

It never occurred to me to look for pros on facebook. I figured it would be like celebrities on MySpace, where there are a ton of fakes, but then again, FB looks for your .edu email, so the younger players could well be on there. Interesting.

Do you know him, or did you just add him and he has added back a ton of fans?

the Colt Knost that i have on Facebook is genuine- it is because he updates his pictures all the time and i know him through a network of golfing friends who play amateur golf at the highest level. Some of my friends play golf in low level professional tournaments as theyve now 'graduated' to the higher level.

I would say that he is not that popular amongst his peers, although the ladies, evidently from his pictures, find it hard to stay away from the man. He is a good golfer but that is about it sadly. However, i still like to look at his profile to see what he is doing and to check out his shenanigans on a regular basis. As ive already said, his trademark is his baseball cap- he even wears it in nightclubs!

Colt Knost is going to win on the PGA Tour when he gets there. Regardless of what some people may think of him (I personally question any U.S. Amateur Champ turning pro and skipping the majors), he is talented and knows how to win under pressure. I fully expect him to end up in the top 5 or 10 in Nationwide earnings this year, and then we will see what he can do next year on the PGA Tour.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
