This week is the first really intense weather we've had.

It was over 100 out on the course at noon today.

I've taken them out of my truck's backseat and left them locked in the garage. Now I have to remember to take them with me when it's time to play!!!!

909D Comp 9.5* (house MATRIX OZIK XCON-6)
Burner Superfast 3 & 5 woods (house MATRIX OZIK XCON-4.8)
G15 Hybrid 23* (AWT shaft)
G5 5 iron-PW-46*, UW-50*, SW-54 & LW-58 (AWT shaft)
Studio Select Newport 2 Mid SlantGrips: PING cords & Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Coumpound Bag: C-130...

Got to stay in the trunk.....no time to stop home after work to grab them....and as said above, ya never know when you'll pass a range, course, etc.....

One note, if you happen to wet a towel in a pond at the course to clean the clubs as you play, and you toss the clubs in the back of your SUV, and it gets in the 90s the following days.....you may notice you truck will reek pretty bad.

So, bring the towel inside, not the clubs :)

In the Titleist bag on the ClicGear 2.0:

PILOT: Titleist 910 D2 Axivore Tour Red

3 WOOD: Callaway 3-Deep 13*

Hybrid: TaylorMade RBZ 22*

IRONS 3-PW: Mizuno MP-32

WEDGES: Vokey TVD 54* SM5 58*K

PUTTER: Rife 2-Bar Blade

BALL: Penta 5

I dont think it will have too much affect on your clubs. but as another user said, it may overheat your rubber grips.

i would suggest keeping them in your car if you absolutely need to. preferably not as a long term storage facility

i would be more worried about people seeing your clubs a stealing them.

I used to live in Texas and while I was in college I worked at a golf course. I left my clubs in the trunk of my car all the time and the epoxy did weaken. I had two heads depart the shaft rather unexpectedly (not at the same time!) and then had to hunt them down in the weeds.

I suggest that you grab the grip in one hand, the club head in the other, and give it a good twist. See if you can feel any movement or hear the epoxy crackling. If not, you are probably ok. But, if you live in a hot climate, you are on borrowed time until you launch one.

If you change your grips every year then they are probably going to be OK in the trunk.

    • Day 167 - 2025-03-16 Hit balls after a long day. Junior Elite and a few lessons. Meh.
    • It kinda is… and Tiger isn't super young anymore. You're missing the fact that Tiger changed the game. Golfers put far more strain and stress on their bodies now than they did fifty freaking years ago. The sport is different now. It's faster, and you have to be significantly better now to even make it to the PGA Tour let alone stay there than you did in Jack's day.
    • Well, at least it got fixed & you’ll be back nonetheless.
    • Day 5 March 16th, 2025 Went to the range for about an hour. Worked on backswing and downswing piece. Finally got to making shorter backswings. Feeling like the swing stops when hips get to hip height. That is more of a feeling for how much the hands move, the hands get closer to A3-A3.5.
    • Seems like Jack was pretty "old" when he won his last Masters. And Gary Player is still playing, despite being a fitness freak all his life. Years ago, Cary Middlecoff stated that Tiger was going to have back problems after he reached the age of 30, due to the body torque he used in his swing. But Tiger has also had plenty of issues with the rest of his body. And the car crash certainly didn't help. Has any golfer been as "injury prone" as Tiger?
