I feel bad for Paula too, but i think that she could benefit from a caddy that helps her make better decisions. That second shot at 9 where she just saw Lewis go long over the green and then does the same thing -- her caddie should've made sure she missed anywhere but long. There was also a chip shot later on the 10th where she tried to go through a tree and hit it -- she was lucky the ball didn't carem off the tree and into the hazard. A good caddie would've had her hit the middle of the green where the tree was out of play and then still have a shot at birdie. My 2 cents anyway...

Oh yeah, i thought she was smokin' hot today :)

I think she had a rough day. So many of them did. She is still young and a fantastic golfer. She also has the attitude and spirit that so many more athletes need. She has the thoughts and attitude that say "I would do this job for free", and the only thing that matters is winning. She has branched out into many things like Ms. Gulbis, and has more on the horizon, especially with the fashion designing. (her Sundog glasses are big sellers). Look for her to have a strong finish to 08 and a huge 09. She is going through some swing changes right now as well, and still played a great tourny.

Her pair for the day, Stacy Lewis, is from my hometown. We went to the same college (Go, Razorbacks!). So, I was definately following that pair all day.

Of course, my wife kept saying, "You're just watching them to see that girl in the pink, right?" Well, of course, having Paula right there in hot pink was very easy on the eyes. "No, dear. I'm just hoping that Stacy wins. She's from here, you know?" And, then Creamer would walk on screen again.

And guess what? LPGA comes to town starting today. I'll get a chance to see her and Gulbis up-close. If the camera adds a few pounds, than Creamer must be tiny.

I am glad that somebody is checking on their weight. I bet it is tough to maintain that wieght and she probably has her ups and downs.

Then their will always be the specualtion that she might be pregnant floating around.

She looked utterly delicious as far as I could see.....

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

I sure wouldnt kick her out of bed for eating crackers.

Why else would she be there?

ba-dum-bump, PSSSH!

I don't think she looks heavier at all. She has some nice thick (in a good way) curves to her.

At the same time though, she is the one who has to make the shot and if she doesnt think what the caddie suggests is the right shot, I dont think she would do it.

She had a look in her eyes of someone who knew they had to go for it and I dont think she was going to listen to anyone, not even her caddie. Id rathar see her go out in a blaze of glory, taking chances and putting herself in a position to make up shots than to see her just play it safe and hope that the leaders fell back to her. By the way, I agree, she was looking smokin' hot yesterday.

Paula is much hotter! I was sad she fell off the pace this week-end because it cut down on her TV coverage.

I attended the US Open for four days. That 9th hole is close to being truly unfair. Literally the green is 20 ft deep where your ball will stay up on the green. The only way to get on the green was to hit at least 1/2 onto the green and run up the backstop (which then sent the ball to the middle of the green). But if you go too far everyone (except Turner and Lewis) ran the ball off the green, even if you putted your ball. It took a fluke shot to stay on the green from behind. That day the tees were at the tips and I think they were coming in from over 180 yds to a severely elevated green with a 20 ft deep landing zone. Michelle Wie took a 9 on that same hole for the same reason, so Paula's double was "good". In my opinion this hole was too gimmicky. Paula was a pro though, did not blame the nature of the hole and said it was her fault for poor course management. I was hoping one of the commentators would disparage the hole, but they probably need to keep their jobs.

I rarely say that a course feature is too tough or too gimmicky for the pros. But in this instance, I have to agree with you.

Look how softly Wie hits her shot from just off the green, and it rolls all the way down. Any softer, and the ball wouldn't have made it out of the collar. ESPN video There is no recovery possible from the top of that green, no matter how good the shot is, and that's not right.

Welcome to another USGA event. Remember the 18th green at Olympic Club? The USGA is known for making their events the toughest in golf. Sometimes they go a little overboard. I do have to say they're getting better. Torrey could've been MUCH tougher. I thought they made it a very fair test of one's game.

Paula uses a Taylor Made putter, not a Scotty. So I'm sure she wouldn't be too bothered.
