I was watching callawayconnect's tracking system all day today waiting for the arrival scan to say "delivered" and wouldn't you know it, right at 2pm when UPS usually arrives, sure enough, "delivered" it said. I ran downstairs and picked up my new babies.

XForged 4-PW with Project X 6.0. Also pictured is my FT5, FT 3wood, FT 2hybrid, XG7, Apex 52* and CGrind 58*.

Didn't hit too many irons today, but felt about 1/2 club longer on each shot. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Shot one under with them today though!

Actually, quite the opposite. I'm on staff with Callaway, so the clubs came as part of my contract. And, I won some loot in my matches yesterday. So, I finished up for the day!

Yeah, that's me. Thanks for asking. Dislocated and fracture ankle with reconstructive surgery on April 3rd. Surgeon said the bones had healed 100% a few Fridays ago, and have played practically everyday since. Life's good.

Well, on one day I can say that they feel great at impact, I mean really nice. I played Mizuno MP30/32s before my Hogans which felt nice and soft, while the Hogans felt firm and crisp, these XForged are the prefect balance of both. Great feel, so far.

uuuuuuh, let me think about NO! But this does make my set count 24 now.

These are some phenominal clubs imo. Although i went with the AP2s it was a tough choice.

The AP2 are a really nice, my buddy has a set, and he likes them a lot. I'm sure you're not disappointed with your choice.

Good choice Ben, at least some of us know real high quality instead of that Titleist or Mizuno crap.

I wish mine still looked that good.

I just got a new set of sticks myself. I got the Taylormade RAC MB forged. However I waited like a month for them to come in so while I was waiting I would practice with a Callaway X-forged 6 iron at the range while I waited and it felt pretty sweet so I say good choice.

You probably could've got the X-Prototype irons but they are like $1300...not worth it. Not yet anyway.

Between these and the AP2, which are more forgiving?

I REALLY like the look of these irons though. They look exactly what a player's cavity should look like. My friend George who is around your handicap plays the older version of this new X Forged and he loves them.

What i think i'm going to do though is wait it out until spring before i get fitted for new clubs. By then, i'll see what new technology has come out and if i want to get anything from this year, it will be much less expensive.

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
