It's like when people ask me why I think Anchorman and Elf and other Will Ferrell movies aren't funny.

Before you condemn Will Ferrell completely, make sure you see "

Stranger Than Fiction ". Phenomenal movie. And "Old School", "Anchorman" and the rest of the slapstick Ferrell movies did nothing for me.

No, actually, I just know that shorts bother a lot of other people. Clean, non cutoff shorts don't bother me at all.

What bother me is real long shorts that aren't plain, hemmed, knee-length shorts. I am sure my shorts are shorter than most people wear, but if you can't see the kneecap, then your shorts are too long and it bothers me.

Anything cut-off, cargo-pocketed, ripped, frayed, etc, doesn't belong in your wardrobe, much less the golf course.

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...

Polo Andrew shorts... 6" inseam. I'm 6'3"

I actually wear longer Dockers shorts for golf because they are a more breathable microfiber-like material and they are navy, so I don't have to wash them for looking dirty after every round.

Yeah, I'm 6'4", but 6" inseam is a little too short for me. I prefer something in the 8" - 9" range.

I really like the Nike Golf Dri-Fit shorts. (But not the "Tech" ones that have that weird rubbery feeling . . . or maybe it's the Tour version. Anyway, I like the ones that feel and look almost like cotton). Never need ironing. Just wash and tumble dry low.

For cotton shorts, I like the Adidas golf shorts.

      While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).

      Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.

Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
