I played a 4some select shot this weekend. Which i was the D player and my drives totally sucked. (topped, slice) My short game was decent and really I think just needs more playing. I was nearly as good as them 130 in. The A golfer said I need to flatten my drive swing out said I was swinging like I do my irons. I know its hard to give advice but thought perhaps this is a common error. The good news we finished 7 under 3rd best out of 12 teams. Thanks for any advice. In a couple weeks me and the A player is going to the driving range to work on my swing but in the currecnt time does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

get a lesson from a PGA pro.

your driver swing will normally be somewhat flatter than your iron swings, due to the length of the club. shorter clubs will usually lead to a more upright swing if your swing is consistent.

I will actually going to meet a local PGA pro at the Bristol Race in August and will be playing his course the weekend before. Perhaps he would be a sufficent teacher.
