I watched about two minutes of it, and it was over after that. :)

I really can't stand to watch a blowout, unless Oklahoma State is on the winning side of things. And that usually doesn't happen on the football field.

I didn't watch much of the Texas blowout either, but I'm ready to see the national championship game. Both teams want to win it all, and they will leave it all on the line in order to do so. It should be a good game, at least I'm hoping so anyway.

A 'game' requires two teams. One didn't show up.

I'm looking forward to two things this bowl season. First will be my alma matter, Penn State, to beat the living daylights out of Florida Convict, uh, I mean State University.

Second is the national championship game. I think it is going to be a great game with Texas winning only because I think their defense can hold USC under 30 points.

But I wouldn't be surprised if USC goes off...

Fairways and Greens.

Go Texas!

/me just enjoys rooting for the underdog. Though, well, I probably won't be watching.

Erik, we need to get you into collegiate sports. I just can't watch pro sports anymore after getting into college sports. There is so much more passion and heart. At least I think so.

As for the bowl season, I was kind of ticked that Oregon missed out on the BCS, but they probably aren't as good as the teams in the BCS anyway. I hope they put a hurtin on Oklahoma in the Holiday Bowl.

As for the national title game, I'm going with USC. They haven't lost in over 2 years, and they haven't proved to me they are going to do so anytime soon. I'm sticking with them, but like Dave said, Texas could hold them under 30 and have a great shot to win. I'm ready to watch the game regardless.

As for PSU/FSU, I hope PSU clobbers Bowden's boys. I'm not a huge fan of either, but FSU beat Virginia Tech last weekend, and that's all it takes for me to root against someone. I would have rather watched VTech vs. PSU anyway.

I don't care for Penn State or Pitt. I went to school in Ohio so I rooted against Ohio State. I wouldn't have a team even if I got into it.

I don't like the fact that players are moving on to bigger and better things (the NFL) and are only around - and a star - for a year or two. I don't like that they're all getting "physical training" degrees or whatever it is they get these days. I don't like the ways athletics can skirt recruiting and NCAA laws. I just don't see myself getting into it. So I just root for the opposite team of most everyone else.

Hey, you might be an Oklahoma State fan afterall.

I'm pretty sure the majority cheers for Oklahoma over Oklahoma State. Sorry suckers. I did go off-topic here, so I better get back on topic. Indian Sensation, who does Notre Dame play in their bowl game? I can't remember for the life of me. Is it Ohio St.? I think that should be a good one if those two match up.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
