No, I haven't won a major. And, I'm not exactly angry. But, it is frustrating watching a guy cry about bad luck when he just screwed the pooch.

Sergio does get bad breaks though. Like on 18 today, all his ball needs is about two more yards and he's putting for birdie, and the pressure is REALLY on harrington. instead it catches the side lip of the bunker and goes in. i do agree though that some of it his fault obviously. you have to make that putt on 17. you also can't put it in the water on 16. but i mean, he's had some real tough breaks over his entire career. i don't think he's a crybaby most of the times as a matter of fact i agree with him a lot. cut the guy a ****ing break.

Actually he did say that Harrington played better than him and deserved it. Sergio played great but someone else played better and there's not much more to it.

You fail.

Luck is a huge part of all sports.

I have no problem with Sergio saying what really is on his mind rather than some bullcrap politically correct statement.

agreed! he doesnt care what people think and I love it

And what about my predictions before the tournament?

1. Tiger Woods will not win.
I could take that prediction to the bank, and be escorted by security for loitering.
2. At least two players will shoot a round in the 80s on Thursday and not come back for Friday.
Kenny Perry withdrew after scratching his cornea while putting in his contact lenses and subsequently shooting a 79 on Thursday. No one else quit before finishing two rounds.
3. John Daly will not be one of the players who withdraw.
Long John had a respectable showing of 74-75, but was just outside the cutline.
4. The 36-hole leader will fall out of contention during the weekend with two rounds over 75.
J.B. Holmes was the leader on Friday, and play was suspended before his round could begin on Saturday. His 36-hole line on Sunday was 70-81, an average round of 75.5.
5. The 36-hole leader will hail from the Southern Hemisphere.
Wrong, unless the Mason-Dixon line replaces the equator.
6. For all of the hullabaloo about Kenny Perry and Rocco Mediate coming into this tournament, neither will finish in the top 25.
Perry withdrew, and Mediate finished next to last in the field.
7. An Asian player will finish in the top 10. (By "Asian," I mean a player representing an Asian country. In other words, Vijay Singh and Anthony Kim don't count.)
Make it two: Charlie Wi of South Korea and Jeev Milkha Singh of India, both tied for ninth.
8. Speaking of Anthony Kim, he will not be a factor during most of the weekend, but will still sneak into a top-15 finish.
The wheels thoroughly came off of Kim's wagon after his even-par score on Thursday. 70-75-74-77=296, T55.
9. Phil Mickelson will play in one of the final three groups on Sunday.
Not quite: Phil was four groups from the last for his final round, but did place tied for seventh.
10. The winning player will shoot a round of 68 or better on Sunday.
Harrington's final round score: 66.
11. The winning score will be 276, 4 under par.
One stroke off. 277, 4 under.
12. The winning player will be under 30 years of age.
Nope: Harrington's 36.
13. The winning player will not be European.
Wrong again: Irish.
14. A club pro will finish the tournament inside the top 40.
Sadly, Frank Esposito Jr. posted a 78 on Friday to miss the cut by a stroke. No club pros saw the weekend.

    • Day 316 - More swings, full backswing and full finish.
    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
