There are only two (regular season) games I want see, which will determine how successful coach Tressel and the Bucks will be this year:

You only want to watch two losses? Typical Buckeyes fan. Ride that wagon til the SEC knocks you off it again.

I watched South Carolina last night if only because I was glad college football began. I must say Lou Holtz needs a lobotomy if he thinks SC will contend in the SEC East. Not happening, unless of course their QB stops throwing picks and gets it to his best receiver (#11 - name escapes me) more often, realizing of course it was just the first game...

As some people don't appreciate my comments, I still won't appologize for heated discussions and rivalry amongst one another in college football. It's what makes the game so great.

If they were playing them, that might matter. Congrats to UA. I was definitely proved wrong on that one. Someone must have told Bowden this was midseason.

Taylor Bennett, the former GT QB, seems like he needs to get acquainted after going 14/40.

I made the pilgrimage to Ann Arbor this weekend with three friends (2-BYU and 1 from Air Force Academy grads). As a Buckeye cheering for Utah it was a little intimidating -- lot's of boos and one guy that wanted to knock my OSU hat off. We had a great tailgate and a better time with the UM fans we sat with.

It was like attending a funeral with 102,000 mourers (there was about 2,400 Utah fans dressed in red). One quiet game. Utah took the fans out of it with the exception of the two touchdowns UM got in the second half... one earned, the other given to them by Utah pentalties. ANd... the fans darn near raised the dead with all the yelling and screaming.

Rodriguez has a challenge ahead of him. It will take time... and, judging from the comments in the stands, there are many that have expectations that I don't feel will be realized this year. I just wonder how long the Michigan fans will put up with a bunch of hookies in the Big House... probably about as long as Bill Clinton in the White House.

Hail to the victors? Maybe against the Miami Red Hawks next week.

thanks for letting me know that. I didn't know it was neutral, and that changes things a bit. Like you said though, clemson always starts well before collapsing down the stretch. Plus, i always favor a good running game early in the season, and clemson has one of the best in the nation with davis and spiller.

9 yards ?? Best in the nation? Bama must have a hell of a run defense.

BTW Roll Tide Roll Nick may be worth the 5 mil a year. More Tigers to meet the same fate (LSU Auburn) But, worried 'bout dem dawgs

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
