I'll give the OP some sympathy... yeah, it's happened to all of us, but way too many people seem to lack any intelligence when it comes to proper etiquette. How fricken hard is it to NOT talk while others are hitting or preparing to hit a shot... not that hard.

Show some flipping respect to your fellow golfers...

oh yeah... whispering doesn't make talking OK... sometimes it's even more annoying than hearing someone talking at normal volume.

I played in front of an 8-some on Thurs that wouldn't stop screaming on the hole behind us.. that wasn't fun.

How long can you play in frount of an 8some? If you didn't open a gap quickly, you were playing too slow

I agree. That's why the OP isn't getting the responses he probably wants.

Nothing wrong with venting about it. Just don't expect a lot of outrage from others because it happens so often and to so many people. But yeah, we all agree that it's annoying as feck.

really is annoying as feck. b. It's commonplace enough that it's pointless to complain about it. Especially when complaining never seems to be very productive.
