I went to see Obama in his rally in Toledo yesterday. I must say, seeing and hearing in person was certainly an eye opener. I must have missed the line where they were handing out the free Kool-Aid. The phrase that irks me the most is when Obama talks about "growing the middle class". None of the programs, ideas, etc that he has brought forward have anything to do with growing the middle class by lifting up the lower class. they all have to do with bringing down the upper class. Does this honestly make sense to anyone? Would golf be as addicting to anyone here (and we are all addicted) if there were no hope of getting better, and we only focused on making the good players worse? Come on!!!!

Exactly, In my life I've never worked for a poor man, I've never gotten a raise in pay from the lower class. With the Dems in control of Congress and The WH, there is nothing to stop our goosestepping toward Marxism. Guess I better get used to the "Government Cheese"... jmoc

That's the problem with so many people here in this country... you're right, he has wonderful ideas... but they end there, they are just ideas and plans. Typical liberal rhetoric... "the American people are tired of paying to much as the gas pump, the grocery store, making the bills. I'll fight for you, the little man" <----- BS

Amen brother, a fellow Óglaigh na hÉireann. The last Dem that promised me a tax cut was Clinton, took a month to turn back on that promise he made to the working men and women. BHO is more of the same, won't be long before 50K is rich. Sadly, McCain is not the answer either... jmoc

Again, it's our Republican president at the moment that has signed off on the order to basically socialize the banking system. Combine that with the PATRIOT Act's general disregard for personal liberties when the government deems it appropriate to check in and the Reagan cult of personality, I'm not seeing where the Democrats are the ones who are supposed to be Communists.

Yes, but with the ability to buy the government back out of their banks, the Dems would have, and tried to, just buy the banks and Federalize them. When BHO gives the Chancellor Palpatine "I love Democracy, I love the Republic..." speach we'll all feel better....jmoc

This whole race is a joke, the Dems and the NAACP are just gonna take buses to churches in the south, and rack up a ton of unlikely voters. And guess who they will be voting for? I'm not racist, but I am very very conservative and I think Obamas views are complete bs. Just like someone said. If i took 5 handicap strokes from someone and gave them to a 36 handicap, that still puts them as a "high" handicapper, and the "low" handicapper is still "low." It's socialism in motion.

So your saying you don't think "those" people should vote. Yeah that's not racist.

Can you imagine the chaos if "unlikely voters" were allowed to vote? And guess who they'll be voting for? Correct ... THAT ONE!

its a tough question whether unlikely voters should be allowed to vote

blacks will vote for obama as much as whites will vote for mccain, its just a reality. I just watched some clips from a howard stern show, I believe it was today's episode, they interviewed a ton of black males and females, I believe in NYC, could be wrong though. stern believes that there are a majority of minorities who are voting for Obama because of his race alone. it was hillarious! "so what do you think of Obama's war stance? Because we believe it's really important to stand strong in Iraq and not have a set date to leave the country" - numerous "oh yeah, we def. have to stay in Iraq as long as it takes to win. I love that Obama believes the same" "so how do you think people will react to Obama's choice of Palin as VP?" - numerous "I think its a great choice for Barack. I really like Palin" the interviews actually seemed serious, and the interviewer wasn't laughing while asking the questions or anything. who knows, but it was funny.

I heard the replay the other day, they gave McCain's positions but attributed them to Obama and, to a person, everybody agreed we need to finish up in Iraq no matter how long it takes and Palin would make a great VP. Bread and Circuses...jmoc

I saw that clip. Both scary and depressing. They fit right in with the people who think Obama is an Arab, Muslim, and terrorist.

Don't underestimate the enormous effect stupid people have on society.

Take this with a grain of salt, since I am a die hard bleeding heart liberal...

But this race would be over if it weren't for race.

The endgame should have been when McCain's senior advisor said "We can't win on the issues, so we have to make it about something else." (don't have the exact quote in front of me)

I never understand people who care so much about taxes. They have to be paid. I would rather have 64% of something than 100% of nothing, and PS my wife and I fall in the 5% that would see more taxes.

Trickle down economics don't work, you must be crazy if you think that people who are extremely wealthy got that way by being generous with their money. Wealth does need to be redistributed, in a much better way than we just did it with the bailout which is redistributing a lot of my and your money to wealthy companies.

Lemme guess I am a socialist at best, maybe even a communist? That's the problem with "isms" they exist on paper and in vaccuums. They all work without the imposition of the outside world.

I am just bothered because a lot of people in the middle don't really get it. The rich people who are clamoring for a free market system right now are the ones with a strong enough cash position so they can buy stocks now, buy property now, when everything is falling apart. The old "buy land, when there is blood on the streets." So the rich are getting richer where as the people who need the help are scraping by. It isn't fair, and more importantly it isn't right. It would be one thing if people had a relative equal starting point but that isn't the case. Contrary to poplular belief I am for capitalism. I just think the "social darwinism" aspect is a joke especially when the deck is stacked against the majority of the people.

Get real. If you equalized all the wealth in the world, it would find its way back to the folks who have it now.

Moneymakers will always have more than the masses. Just look at what happens to a majority of lottery winners. After a few years, some rich people have all their winnings. It is foolish to "spread the wealth around" and expect it to stay spread around. The poor will always be with us. If you are not happy with how much you have, work harder, work longer, work smarter. Don't complain that Warren Buffet has too much and you don't. Think. Work hard. Take risks. Save. Educate yourself. Get your damned hand out of my pocket.

I will have to disagree with you on this one. I believe he is still in this election because of his race. From what I have seen and heard Barack Obama gets away with a lot more than is typically allowed. From his connections to Ayers, Rev. Wright, and some of the claims of plagiarism in his books he has pretty much bounced right back from those issues.

People went up in arms because Palin is a Pentecost whose church believe homosexuality can be cured through prayer but its ok to belong to a church who calls the our country the "USKKKA" and believes that the aids virus was created by the government to destroy the black race. Then he comes out and asks people "how many plumbers do you know making 250,000 dollars a year".... honestly that is so condescending its unreal. I cannot stand his smugness. We found out more about Joe the Plumber in 24hrs than we know about Obama. People are also forgetting that Obama knocked on "Joe's" door and got caught dropping the socialist bomb. Oh yeah, I forgot somehow several months ago Rove knew that Obama would be visiting that exact home at that exact time to somehow catch Barack. Please

You have my words twisted. I am all for working hard and succeeding, and the opposite is true, if you don't work you don't deserve to succeed and do deserve to be poor. I am not for giving money away, I am for giving opportunity to people.

My problem is this people who are hard working are getting the proverbial project X right now. Joe Smith can't afford to fill his gas tank despite how hard he works. Yet Warren Buffet is busy buying up quality stocks at a bargain basement deal. So when things turn around, and they will, Joe can survive again while Warren is buying a continent. People who do work hard do need to be rewarded and that isn't happening when the money is extremely top heavy. It allows people like Dubya to have a baseball team, to have an oil company, to run for governor/president despite not really working hard, or working smart...heck even being smart. The point is if people have access to opportunities the cream will rise to the top.

    • The MTB Prime and Prime X had issues with the cover being too soft and getting cut too easily. They said it was more prevalent in the Prime than the Prime X which I found odd because that was the exact opposite of my experience.
    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
