Greetings ....

This one is for all you hearty beef eaters out there.

Usually I will not have any extra large-sized steaks, confining myself to a filet mignon in the 8-10 oz range, a NY strip or sirloin in the 12 to 16 oz range or, if I'm in the right mood, a T-Bone in the 16-18 oz range.

Recently I decided to be a bit bold and try a 22-oz porterhouse from Longhorn's Steakhouse, along with a Caesar Salad, bread roll, steamed asparagus and one O'Douls's. I did pretty well with it. I don't think I'll ever try anything bigger.

So, what's the biggest steak you ever wolfed down at one time?

crikey this thread is going to make a lot of people hungry

im a meat cutter and this one guy comes in all the time and asks for 4-2 3/4" steaks, im like why not just 3 inches? he says cause then it wont be a steak its a roast haha, apparently his whole family loves those 3 inch think new york strips, there damn heavy too,

largest i ever ate was 2.25 lb "sweetheart" steak haha

one year for valentines day i cut a bunch of real thick ribeyes and butterflied them so when you split them open they kinda look like a heart, my gf came into the store and bought one, and made it for me haha, i kinda felt like i HAD to eat it all haha

I usually go with an 8 to 10oz. filet. . .

There's a local restaurant that used to have a deal. If you ate a something like a 65oz steak, with potato, salad. . .ate it all, you didn't have to pay for it.

I had a couple friends that would go try every couple years. . .it took that long to save up for it, lol.

3 lbs of top sirloin (that I grilled myself) with a big, bold cab.

Dont remember the name of the place, but a few years back on a trip to Florida a friend and I tried to eat one of those "challenge meals", a 72 ounce steak, baked potato, salad, etc, etc. I didnt even come close to finishing half, lol. I took the other 3/4 home with me. My buddy gave it hell, still couldnt do it. If I remember correctly it cost $73 a person..I don't see how anyone has ever eaten the 96'er, Ive heard stories about that one!
