I got a set of MP-57s brand new for $400 off of craigslist.

Sweet deal on some sweet irons!! I scored some very slightly used MP-57s off another Sand Trapper for $415. I am so impressed with the condition of these babies, I literally can barely tell they were used at all.

I also checked out the deals on that leaked TM friends/family deal- if I was in the market for anything I'd jump on it, but I think I've actually got everything I need......for now.

I traded in a set of MP32s, 2 Hybrids, an old 3W and three used wedges for $500. I then turned that into three brand new wedges, a new stand bag, some apparel and accessories.

I also scored a set of used Tom Lehman Grind 300 Series Taylormade Irons for $120, shipped.

Yes, in search for the holy grail, I'm constantly pulling a Todd Hamilton: switching and searching until I'm satisfied. What can I say. It can't be me, right?

I get a deep titleist/taylormade/callaway/cobra discount through my school and this season I ordered 2 brand new studio selects for 146 each. So I basically paid 292$ for 2 300$ retail putters.

Just got a set of CCI Cast 4-PW for £200.

Brand new, nice to keep in the back of the car for a second set. I'm hitting them awesome as well may get promoted to my first set very soon.

Think they are so cheap as they've been replaced by the Victory Red cavity.

Someone told me Immelman used them in the Masters.

I got in on that Taylormade Employee/Family deal too... must have been good karma for voting on Election Day.

I spent $600 and that got me: Overnight shipping, Tour Burner Driver, CGB Max #3 Wood, CGB Max #3 Rescue, and Burner XD irons.

Better than that deal, I kept the driver, and took everything else to Golfsmith and came out with a $1515 gift card.

Right now I don't know what to do though. I just started golfing in August -- I'm a poor college kid (who had just barely enough saved to buy $600 worth of golf stuff.) I've been a tennis guy all my life, and golf is the only other sport I've liked as much. I'm not flaky so I'll stick with it definitely... unlike most golfers I see out there that complain how much they hate the game (yet still play...? weirdos...) I always have fun.

Initially I was going to use the gift card to buy some fitted player's cavity back type irons.... but I could really use the money if I sold my gift card for cash to someone. Any advice?

For the time being I think I am gonna spend a little with the gift card on a new Rossa putter... the ones going on clearance. And maybe a driving range card and a lesson or two -- since I still haven't taken any lessons. (But I've got to be doing something right... since yesterday at the local driving range and chipping green I had two different employees come up to me a compliment me..)
