Recently I've seen a bunch of people fail at posting YouTube videos.

For my own sanity, here's how you do it. Three easy steps.

  1. Get the YouTube URL. For this example, it's: http://www.youtube . com/watch?v=rHWaEjCO0Lg
  2. Strip away everything but what v equals (including v=). That leaves you with rHWaEjCO0Lg .
  3. Put that between [video=youtube;rHWaEjCO0Lg]http://youtube.com/watch?v=rHWaEjCO0Lg[/video] tags.

How come it's OK to post a video, but not pictures?

We do allow people to post pictures. We even allow attachments (not in the Marketplace), though the other method - linking from a photo sharing site - is preferred.
