Everything comes off except my necklace. Can't stand wearing rings or a watch when I golf...

And I've never quite understood guys who wear necklaces....

It's a generational thing... piercing and tattoos baffle me too.

Im not married so I dont have to worry about rings, however, the wallet, watch and phone all enter the confines of my bag. I will leave my necklace on as well.

Wallet, phone, pocket knife, keys, etc go into the cart. However, I think I'll start putting them in my bag so I won't forget them... I have had to go back to the club later for a missing item that would have made it home if it were in my bag. I generally take off my wedding ring before heading to the course.

You know why guys wear a necklace don't you?

So they know where to stop shaving!!!! LOL

Seriously, I don't wear jewlery anyway except my wedding ring, and that comes OFF when I play golf!

Don't wanna take a chance on losing something REALLY important!!!

Plus... you never know when you may meet a really hot babe on the course who needs help with her short game!!!!!

The guys I play with think I'm weird for sticking my wallet in my bag, I'm glad I'm not alone here.

I take everything out of my pockets, wallet included! I HATE sitting on it in the cart, or just feeling it back there.

I keep my ring on though

Everything comes out of my pockets too with the exception of a tee. I had a runny nose yesterday and the tissue felt awkward in my pocket so put it in the back one.

Keys, wallet and phone go in my bag. I have three watches I rotate through and the largest one (43mm diameter and 16mm thick) is the only one I won't wear when playing golf. I wear the other two no problems. I also keep my wedding ring on.

I leave my dive watch and wedding ring on when I play as they don't encumber me in the least.

I do revome my wallet, car keys, sunglasses, spare change & etc from my pockets and replace them with tees, ball mark repair tool and two balls. Glove goes in my back left pocket....and I'm ready to tee it up.

Wedding ring stays on (only comes off when I go swimming, at least until I get it sized down). Front pockets are emptied except for an extra ball in the left pocket and a tee, repair tool, ball marker, and pencil in the right. Right rear pocket holds a scorecard, left the wallet.

If I'm wearing jeans or pants with tight pockets, I may not keep a ball in my pocket and will put the wallet in my bag.

I don't wear a glove so my wedding ring really affects the feel of my grip. Therefore it comes off. My watch also comes off, as I hate the weight of it during my backswing.

No watch, no rings, only thing in my pockets are tees, ball marker and repair tool. I sometimes play with a guy who is a paid EMT and is "on call"; he wears everything including a pager, phone, etc. on his belt. I don't know how he can even swing a club!

Used to take my wedding band and ring off to play, but just forgot to one day and never went back to taking them off. I find that my watch band reminds me to keep my left wrist flat or bowed as I'm coming into the ball.

    • @DrizZzY does. 😄
    • does anybody still use a 7 wood? if not what do you use instead>
    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
    • So, Newey is out at Red Bull. Where does he go in a year? Is Max still with RBR in 2026? Hmmmm.
    • August 2010 Woodfin Ridge 18th hole Playing in a large tournament with a slew of friends and the last day was two man best ball. The 18th, when it was bent grass, was very fast due to a steep slope on the right side. I had seen many people over the years putt off the green from above the hole. I hit a great drive and 3W to 30’ left of the hole. With everyone watching my partner hit it way too fast and never high enough and his ball rolled all the way to the bottom of the green.  I hit mine much higher and the ball came to rest about 20” above the hole. Then it slowly started trickling towards the hole for a walkoff eagle! Nobody said anything except my partner who was yelling pretty loudly. I looked at the crowd and told them it was okay to clap because it was a great putt, and they gave me a bunch of polite golf claps and brought me a beer!
