It's about time!

Maybe we'll see more LPGA on TV with this deal . I sure hope so.

Now they should do the same for the Duramed like they do the Nationwide.

And they should balance golfguy with a golfgal!

I think that is a good thing, as long as the Golf Channel doesn't use the same group of anouncers. Faldo.......frickin idiot that toots his own horn, I can hear him now "Well Kelly me dear I would have played that shot as one of those Power Fades and hit it way out there toward the corner" Kelly "yes Nick , You can hit it that way." Need Some new faces or should I say voices on this new venture.

I kind of like the guy and girl who did the TGW commercials last year. They would make the telecasts "interesting." Remember the "tee 'em high" couple?

Faldo got to me when he interviewed Palmer. He was comparing himself to Arnie, i.e., who had won more of this tournament or that, and finally said that his (Faldo's) winery had more choices than Arnie's. To me it looked like Palmer was sitting there thinking why on earth am I here with this guy?

LOL. I thought the same thing. Faldo tries to be more than he really is. He was a good player, no doubt. But when you look at what players have done more for the game of golf, Faldo's name is not in the mix. I'm glad TGC will be picking up LPGA events. I enjoy watching the girls.

Nice that they'll have a steady place and glad it's Golf Channel. Never really liked the ESPN2 coverage and there were way to many weeks without coverage. Come 2010 Fridays on Golf Channel will be all day tournament coverage. I wonder how they will slot them on the weekend though. Will they run them live against the PGA Tour on CBS and NBC, try to get earlier finishes, or do tape delay?

Faldo and tilgh-MAN are terrible, Johnny is a bit rough but pretty damn funny sometimes when he calls it before it happens.

If you're a student of the game, you would be best to listen when Faldo suggests an alternate way to play a shot - jot down the tip in your Course Management book and save it. I won't perfect this game, but I will take whatever management tips arise to get closer.

Anyway, back on topic, the LPGA and GC agreement is great. I really can't wait because I love watching the LPGA. I learn more from the LPGA players than I do than most PGA players mainly because the course is setup a little shorter - similar to what I play being a shorter player and all. I think if most people would follow the LPGA they would see ,that on their local muni courses, they do not need to drive it 300+ yards to nail a good score down.

    • Have a 19° (moved to 20.5°) Titleist 915H. I just love the club. Beautiful feel off the sweetspot, high launch, soft landing. Versatile. In the future, with less overall speed I will replace my 4 and 5 irons with another hybrid, something around 26°.
    • Broke the head of a Stealth Plus on a warm up. TaylorMade send me a new head but I decided to upgrade it to the new IQ10 LS and pay the difference. While I was waiting for the 8° head to arrive at the store I messed around with all the multi brand putts they had available. I instantly liked a black TaylorMade Spider, not the new one but very similar. The weight felt perfect. Big line in the middle for easy alignment. I was playing and old Zebra so the change in technology and feel was huge. Fast review of both clubs.. Driver QI10 LS. I always hit to ball up in the sky. I was playing the stealth at 7° with a 60g X low flight shaft and I was still hitting it pretty high. With the QI10 playing it at 6° now is almost hard for me to hit it high, with the same shaft the ball comes out lower and with less spin. so I'm really happy with the change. Putter Spider. I love it. It took me an afternoon to figure out how to grip it (it comes with a superStroke grip) but after that it all came into place. More stable on short putts and a good weight to swing smoothly on long putts and with added forgiveness over my old zebra.
    • I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.
    • Day 547, May 2, 2024 18 holes with @DrizZzY using my TruStick®. Hit a LOT of really good shots today.
    • Not the last thing I bought or bought anything at all but Sun Day Red stuff seems a bit overpriced for it essentially being rebranded Nike apparel. I'm hearing the resale prices are wild though. Either way, I highly doubt I will indulge as I'm not much of a brand guy or a collector. But to keep up my super nice guy image have never turned down a gift though 😇 Tiger doesn't seem to sell stuff like MJ or Kanye did.
