This thread is to rate each others equipment based on our signature. Lets do a 1-10 system, 10 being the best and feel free to give an explanation. I'll start with rating my own equipment, then someone rate mine, and then someone rate the last person and so on.

I'll rate my equipment 6 out of 10 because I mainly have beginner clubs as I'm trying to work on my basics and what not.

Haha this is a good idea. I'd agree with your assessment, but why are you playing a 3 iron? If you get some extra cash i'd go with a hybrid. Feel free to rate my stuff. (I'm getting a new driver within a few weeks for my b-day Cobra S9-1 Pro S or the Titleist D3?)

Driver: Sumo 5000

I'll give you an 8.5 - love the putter and wedges - rest is solid equipment that I could take or leave.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

not much of a difference I just tried a bunch and the 2 was my favorite in terms of the weight distribution and my putter stroke.

I actually had a 3H heavenwood, but I preferred my regular iron much more so I kept it.

driver Ping G10 10*

I think 9.5 is a pretty good rating for your set. Driver is good. Irons are awesome. Vokeys are amazing. And a Cameron. I've never used the TM Burner Tour Launch hybrid, but I've seen it.

Here's mine: TM SuperQuad 9.5* Maxfli 3W (15*) Tour Edge Exotics hybrids (18* and 21*) PING i10 irons (4-U) Snake Eyes 55* and 60* (Will be bent to 54* and 60*) Odyssey WhiteHote XG7 I'd rate 8/10. I love the irons, the hybrids are money, and the wedges are top notch. I also like the feel of the putter. However, I'm not convinced about my 3W and driver. The 3W is really large, so it's tough to hit off the fairway for me. It's sweet off the tee though. The driver isn't properly fit for me, but I'll probably get it fit this year (the shaft). The shaft goes a little too high for my taste and probably spins the ball too much.

In my Ogio Ozone Bag:
TM Superquad 9.5* UST Proforce 77g Stiff
15* Sonartec SS-2.5 (Pershing stiff)
19* TM Burner (stock stiff)
4-U - PING i10 White dot, +1.25 inches, ZZ65 stiff shafts55*/11* Snake Eyes Form Forged (DGS300)60*/12* Snake Eyes Form Forged (DGS300)Ping i10 1/2 MoonTitleist ProV1

I don't really understand how to rate equipment. My clubs are not the newest, nor are they the most expensive, but to me, I would rate them a 10. Someone else might rate them a 5.

Well, just going by pure opinion, I would rate denver_nuggs_15's set a 9. Nice sticks.

Yeah, I know what your saying. I was saying a general review based on what you know of the clubs. Just something fun to do nothing serious.

I am going into my third year back with golf with this bag. I rate it a 8 for getting back into the game and would be interested in where to go from here. The Pro where I play sells Ping and I may go in that direction for irons. Comments and thoughts?

This is really hard to do.
All of the equipment mentioned is good for somebody.
Whether it's best for the person playing it is the issue.

I don't have a major OEM driver because I couldn't find one with the loft/lie/face angle combo with which I feel confident. All the hi-loft ones were too upright and had hooked faces. I'm sure that they're good for somebody if not me.

I have wooden fairways because for $50.00 extra per stick, I could get the exact specs that I wanted. Can’t do that with metal. There are several major brand steel fairways out there with which I could probably play, but my Louisvilles take away all the excuses. They fit like a glove, are the lofts that I want, so there are no extraneous thoughts interfering with my shot.

The published specs on my irons matched almost exactly the specs of the Kenneth Smith Royal Signet customs that I played before when I still hit steel shafts. Very little tweaking was required. But I had to have the 3-PW set custom numbered 2-9 to match the loft/number correlations with which I was accustomed.

For me, the set has to be close to a ten. I’m playing to an 11.3 USGA index and 10 home course handicap as of last season’s close, and at this stage of my life, I’d say that was pretty good.

Based purely on "wow factor", you get a 10. Miuras... Nakashima... Wow!

Mmmm. I would give that a 10. the quad is killer, and the r7 Ti is practically a driver.. Not a big fan of 5 woods, but tahts a great club, Obviously i like 32's, and you know i want your putter..

    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
    • Slight digression on the way to my point. Back in the day there were a lot of people who said that Tiger won because of “the Tiger effect” where people pushed too hard and made mistakes trying to catch him and fell by the wayside. I thought that was BS. It was just that he was that much better than them. I don’t think anything has changed my mind on that.    The hype about Miles Russell is very limited. I’ve seen nothing about him outside of some fairly hardcore golf websites. But I think that the reason those people are talking about him is because he is very good. Same as Tiger. And like I said he just broke one of Tiger’s records. That gets hardcore golf fans to pay attention.
    • No disrespect felt, but since you did apologize you can disrespect once in the future with no guilt.
    • So do a few thousand others. 😉 Something like 14 players born in any year will have PGA Tour status for 3+ years. What drew you to this? He's not from where you live, right? Family friend?
