I've played Merion, Oakmont, Pine Valley, Pinehurst, Sawgrass, Pebble Beach, bethpage,and scottsdale. I really want to go to the UK to play. The only thing about Pebble Beach and Sawgrass is be prepared to play a 6 hour round if you are not the first group out. Nice courses but everyone is out there taking pictures and it gets real backed up real quick. Bethpage was also a long round but we all knew that going into that one.

I'm kind of amazed that Sawgrass gets mentioned so much, Yuck. I just don't see the attraction. But that's me.

St. Andrews, thats easy.
In the US I plan on playing Beth Page Black soon, as well as Sawgrass. And ofcourse Agusta National.

But in reality, any thing in Ireland or Scotland, I wish there were more links courses in my area. I think theres 1.

after this mornings 9 hole 3 1/2 hour round...
i just wanna play any course that has nobody around and is in great shape...
looking thru my old golf digests and i really need to book a trip to that himalayan golf course

The only golf course in the world i really really would like to play is Pine Valley. I dont really care much about all the other celebrity golf courses out there. I think im good enough to properly enjoy the challange of the golf course, rather than some hack with a fat wallet that pays some member 50g just to brag that he played the place.

Go over to somewhere hot and dry in America. A really nice condition course that hasn't had much rain. Sorry i am just a bit bitter coz it has been raining for the last 3 days over here and i only played 4 holes today then gave up... :(

I felt the same way, all for a gimmicky hole.

Augusta is my one course Scotland/Ireland is my region Kohler, Wisconsin or Bandon Dunes are my two resorts of choice.
