Ping Rapture Driver

Anybody know someone who uses this driver? My brother-in-law played with a friend who just bought this driver used and they out drove him by 50 yards and my brother-in-law is pretty long himself. The friend even almost drove a green that was slightly over 300 yards.

Anybody experience the same thing out there?

No, don't know anyone using the Rapture. However, just noticed that TGW.com is know selling them at $199. Not too bad.......

I have one and just reshafted it with an Epic shaft, best driver I have hit. Great feel and everytime I hit it the guys I play with say they have never heard that type of sound off a driver before.

Your buddy should have tried it and see if he could outdrive the owner of the ping,the ping owner using his driver.Might'nt have been the driver at all.

My grandpa has one and i used it for about 4 or 5 tournaments during golf season. I loved it. The only problem i had is its so long. Ping adds like 3/4"(??dont quote me on that, but they are longer) to their drivers. I need like an inch taken off for me so, i reshafted my current driver and i have much more control.

The rapture is defiently a great club, super super easy to hit.

The Rapture averages 12-20 yards longer than almost anything out there on most robotic tests. The plasma welded titanium face is pretty high tech, and produces a pretty unique sound. Most reports also show a wider dispertion when hit slightly off center... so its longer, but you lose some forgiveness. Make sure to check on the shaft length. Pings are ussually stocked with a longer shaft, which will add some distance, and reduce forgivness, too.

I have one. Today was actually the first time I used it out on the course. Had alittle trouble at first but then I quickly got the hang of it. I highly recommend it.
