Padraig Harrington has been known to excel in survival tourneys (like PGA, and Open Championship). If Augusta turns into one of these tests, how do you think he will end up doing? Winning? Top 10? MC?

paddy has a big chance of winning next week! he seems like he is improving every time he plays and just in time as well! ill be backing him next week!

Tiger certainly is a heavy favorite to win the Masters, Paddy probably is the second favorite based on his recent performances in the majors. Also, he seems to be rounding into good form this week.

Tiger has not done that well at Augusta in recent events. Harrington is favourite for this event in my view. Its not a bomb and gouge course...it's a war of attrition on this course. Ive got Rory McIlroy marked down for a top 10 finish and David Duval to be at home on his sofa watching it.

I like how you phrased that ....."Survival Tournaments". That is so accurate.

Composure and saving clutch par putts will be the order of the day. Tiger has a superb history of both.

I think Paddy will certainly make the top ten. He's fierce....I think a Paddy / Tigre final pairing would be awesome.....with two or three groups of young swashbucklers just ahead of them and posting birdies....threatening.

It's a dang shame that Davis couldn't get the wheels turning in time to get an invite. The shadows are lengthening.....

I see Paddy coming out of Augusta with a top 5 finish. A Paddy/Tiger final pairing would be very fun to watch too.

Tiger and Paddy are wonderful par putters. Par putts are what made paddy win the pga. Especially the last hole! I also would love to see those two in a final pairing. Two different attitudes with the same goal. Good stuff... as for the tourney, I think if the winning score is higher then -10 then I think paddy will definitely have a top 10. THE FIGHT OF THE IRISH!

Anyone else catch the Johnny Miller's remark about giving Paddy a 'lesson' on ball striking, again totally silencing the other announcer, presumably in disbelief of Millers comments?

Of course, Paddy is such a class act he probably just listened to Millers 'Lesson' and mentally, flipped him the bird, when Miller left.

Paddy's probable self talk, "Who does this clown think he IS? ... How many majors has he won? ... Perhaps I should be giving him the 'lesson'..."

Agreed. I wouldn't mess with the man.

I see Paddy making the cut, but I dont think he will be a factor on Sunday.

He's one of the best scramblers on the PGA Tour though. 10th I believe.

I think he'll be right in the running and I would LOVE to see a Tiger/Paddy pairing on Sunday.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
