Ignorance at its finest.

If you are cost conscious go after the Adams 3 wedge set for $100... if not try out clevelands, callaways, vokeys and mizunos... you really cant go wrong with any of them at your level.[/QUOTE]
This is coming from the guy with a bag over $5000 yeah not neccesary.

He is suggesting you cant hit a wedge and should by crap wedges.

I would be more offended, but I don't hit the wedges well

But I already have a set of crap wedges.

Looking at the Cleveland CG12 oil can. Seems like a nice wedge from most all accounts. I like the sole grind feature. Seems like it would be helpful with lob shots and such. I see Golfsmith will do the 1.5" over length and 2 degrees upright. Also saw they would offer many choices in shafts. Just not sure which one to get. There was about 15 to choose from.

I have Cleveland 588 wedges and they are the most versatile wedges I have ever owned.

Agreed; I have a 588 SW and it kicks some serious ass.

And to the OP: If you don't mind me asking, what the hell kind of game costs $500? I sure hope the disc case was gold-plated or something.

It is a Nintendo Wii that has a excercise program/game of some kind. She was smart enough to order the Tiger Woods 2009 at least. Ha ha...

I think you should certainly consider the Mizuno MP-T series...I bought a MP-T 47 degree to replace a lost sand wedge and the feel is incredible...I'm considering an entire set of Mizuno irons. Here's a link--

I just ordered the 47 myself. I have the 51 and love it! I actually traded my Cleveland's in on them. Well except my 56 that I use for my SW. Figured I would beat that club up as much as I get stuck in the sand.

What bounce do you people play with? I only recently found out what bounce meant for the wedges.

As it turns out, my 56º has 14º bounce and my 60º has 3º. No wonder I struggle with getting under the ball with my 56º.

My 52º is something I've wanted to change, so I've thought about replacing all my wedges.

Haven't decided on brand or model yet, but when it comes to bounce I'm thinking one wedge with high bounce for bunkers and soft lies and two with low bounce. I'll probably go with 50, 54 and 58. Don't know which of the 54 and 58 I want high bounce for. Today I chip with 56 and 60, but would a 54 be too low for a sandwedge? Should I go 58 high bounce and 54 low bounce?

It depends on the lie. If it is firm and/or tight, a lower bounce is preferred. If it is soft/wet, med/high rough, sand, ect. a higher bounce is preferred. I have a 56.14 CG14 that I use for my SW/high rough flops. If I am in a bunker with less sand/firmer lie I use my 60.07.

Just know the area you are playing in and have the bounce match.
