Ok, so I'm thinking about changing my bag. I currently have a Ping Hoofer Vantage, and while it does not weight a thing, it drive me insane!!!!

It has 5 way dividers, with 3-way full length sections, and a total width of about 7.5 inches. So my problem is club management....it's just turns into a bloody mess. Yesterday I had one of those days that you actualy use every single club in the bag....and by the 9th hole, my clubs were all over the place...I could not put them back all the way in....pulled one club out, and two or three more came out...it was just frustrating....not to mention that all the clubs just are one on top of the other. I've had it! I need a new bag!!

So I have narrowed down my selection to 2 bags...

Taylor Made Phantom Stand bag and the OGIO Ozone. Both have lots of pockets (something i'm looking for). What I can't tell is if they both have a cooler pocket.

My concern with the OCIO is the ball pcket that does not have zippers. Anyone own this bag? Is this an issue?

Also, what are your thoughts on the Nike SasQuatch Tour bag? It seems interesting too...may 3rd on my list!

Your comments are greatly appreciated!!!!
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

I'm currently using the Ogio Ozone bag and I really do like it. The Ogio bag has tons of pockets. I keep my cell, Zune, and wallet in one compartment. A Jacket in another, gloves/hand warmers in another, balls in another (Everything has a zipper). I could go for days but I can sort out exactly where everything should be. The club management is 7.5/10 Maybe an 8. It works great, but sometimes things get a bit crowded and its hard to put clubs back. However my biggest love of this bag is the 3-ball silo. It's awesome to say the least. I keep 3 balls in there at all times and if you carry you can just reach behind you and grab a ball anytime.

Last but not least the Ogio back doesn't have a cooler :( But I still think it's a great bag.

Genex 3DX DC Utility 17* Hybrid
Grand Hawk True Temper 4-PW 56* MP T-Series Ni Classic Monte Carlo 7 Putter 34"

i use an Ogio Grom and i like it. the zipperless ball pocket is not an issue at all. i actually really like that part of the bag. the club management system is OK, but i wish i bought a bag with 14 dividers now because some of my irons get tangled up too.

I have the same problem. I currently have a nike super series bag. It is great in every way apart from only 3 full length dividers so everything gets tangled up. I am going to get the sasquatch tour bag so all my clubs will slot in and out without any fuss.

I am so happy with my OGIO Nexos. It is awesome and hopefully in the next week my will be ordering an Ozone and I can give you a little input.

OGIO!

I have the Ogio Grom as well. I like it a lot. I tried a few bags last season and this one was by far the best quality out of the few I had. The zipperless ball pocket is actually nice.

I've seen people mention that the Sasquatch Tour is a bit heavy. The Sun Mountain Four 5 is another one you might want to look into, it has 14 dividers and is lighter than the Sasquatch.

So .... I'm still looking.

I have found teh Cobra GT Stand Bag. This bag is really nice, but I have a few concerns:
  1. Velour straps...how do they handle water?
  2. Velour top ... How does it take the abuse of pulling and pushing clubs into the bag?
  3. The opening at the top ... How comfortable are they? How many clubs per (large) opening do you carry?

I am also considering looking into Cart Bags....better price and more space, but I'm not sure that I want to give up the ability to walk if I can....

Any thought????

Whichever bag you decide to go with, I wouldn't give up the option to walk by getting a cart bag. Sure, you can rent a pull cart if you choose, but it's really nice to be able to walk if you want to. Plus, among the bags you're talking about, there are some great "hybrid" bags that you can walk with or strap to a cart. My Ogio Grom is definitely in the category - very efficient to do both.

Just my two cents. Good luck deciding!

If it's not too late, I am pleased with my titleist x86

I threw my clubs into the lake so it's time to start over...

I bought a Burton ML Hybrid bag just recently.
The legs fold in and lock so you can use on a buggy/cart.
9in with 14 full length dividers and plenty of pockets cauz i reckon the bigger the bag the more crap we tend to carry.
It will do me even if i just use it during the warmer months and keep my bigger one to carry wet weather gear ,bag cover and spare towells ect.
Worth considering if you could get the same or similar over in your neck of the woods.

If you are still open to suggestions, I recently bought a Callaway X-series bag and I love it thus far. Keeps the clubs somewhat organized, once you figure out the dividing system. Has more pockets and room than I know what to do with including an easily accessible cooler sleeve. And if you are looking to take a pull cart it has a strap to hold the legs in place so they don't stick out and helps keep the bag on the cart.

My only con to this bag is that if you plan on carrying for 18 it's a little on the heavier side at 7lbs. I personally carry only if I am playing nine and grab a pull cart for 18. Saves the back a little.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I just got a Ogio stand bag this season and really like it. It's durable, light weight, has a lot of pockets and the club management is really not that bad either. Overall it's a nice product!

When I can, I prefer to buy golf stuff from my home course pro shop. It builds good will and they usually knock off something from the tag price. Just today I bought a Bridgestone P9700 Cart Bag. It feels like good quality and has 14 individual club slots that each run to the bottom of the bag. I just got new and oversized grips on my clubs and want to preserve the grip from the beginning. It also has ample pockets, lift handles, etc. You can google for it to have a closer look; it looks classy: black with gold trim.

I have the OGIO Grom, great bag, lots of pockets and the dividers are nice. As far as the zipperless ball pocket, it's kept closed by an elastic band, no problem with it so far.

I had problems with Ogio customer service but thats me.I brought the Nike sasquatch tour and it really is a good bag. With all the crap I put in it it does not matter if it is 2 pounds heavier and it has loads of room and the 14 dividers are great.
