I agree, depends on Tiger.

Camilo and ZJ with good rounds today. If Tiger shoots 1 or 2 under it should be a fun weekend.

On the other hand if he shoots 4 or 5 under today, it could be a solo run.

Did anyone see the Tiger interview w/ David Ferhty after the tourny was over. He kept calling Tiger a loser. The first time it was kind of funny but after about the 4th time even though Tiger was smiling I'm sure he was ready to kick him in the nutz !

I think Tiger and Feherty are buds and he took it just fine. And he'll use that as a reason to push even harder this week.

Tiger has never seemed so irrelevant. All he has to do is shoot 69 to win and he does not even break par! A 3-putt par on 14!

It is nice for Glover, Watson and O'Hair, but Tiger did not deliver the expected drama on Sunday. What a let down!

I'm not sure I'd say "irrelevant." He was "in it" all day and has finished top 10 or so in every event he's played this year.

But I agree with the sentiment. He's not consistent. His driver is terrible, but even with that he could still score if his irons were fine. Tiger has always said the secret to playing good golf is to be pin high, and he was anything but all day on Sunday. I think he tried to force that one on 14 a little too much.

It's nice to see someone other than Tiger winning, I think. I've been finding myself rooting against him lately, to be honest.

Two Tiger comments:

1) He's clearly a bit frustrated at the moment but he's keeping his composure and doesn't get defensive or whine when it's all over.
Who does that remind you of, NOT?

Faherty's ribbing was a tribute of course and Tiger knew it. Nice touch.

2) That bunker shot on the par 3 17th (35 footer, with backspin, into a downslope towards the water) was pure genius. One of the best sand saves I've ever seen - not a hint of luck to it, just pure skill, confidence and guts.

Tiger's still got the magic.

    • Day 313 - I played 18 today. First and last holes were ugly, but I actually played pretty well. Driver was great, irons were alright, and the short game was better than average.
    • Day 205 (23 Nov 24) - Worked with the alignment rod and 7i  in reference to ball position in relation to lead foot on full iron shots, noticed an increase in thinned shots last couple of rounds - better contact with the balls (hard foam) during the drill/swing rehearsals.
    • Have you gone to a fitting? A good fitting will not only give you a clubhead but a shaft, etc. that will suit you.
    • It's not like the Nike Vapor Pro are exactly a highly sought set of irons.
    • Last night I was putting my Nike Vapor Pro Irons back in my bag.  I had my sons i500’s in there the last couple months after we all went to Top Golf .  I picked up the Nike’s this past spring and they are like new.  I feel guilty using them… I have other irons that aren’t valuable that I could use instead.
