I found this site/forum to read tips. I have been golfing for about 6 years but only golfing seriously for about 3-4 years. Serious for me is getting out more than 10 times in the short dry season here. Right now I am only able to play a cheap 9 hole course by my university and on average I shoot around a 44, best being a 41 and worst a 49. I feel like im not too far away from better play and more consistent play for that matter but golf is funny and I am probably way off. I use clubs till they break ( this has literally ben my experience unfortunately). Right now I am using an old ping driver and a set of Ping ISI or IST, not sure what it says, irons and a Ping G5i putter which I love. My biggest problems right now is inconsistent hitting with my driver: about a 60/40 split between fading/slicing and hitting it straight. Of course when I am trying to play the slice on a dog-leg right it goes straight. Another problem is hitting my irons chunky ( it probably doesn't help that the clubs I bought used came from a 6' person and I am 5'9"). All of this I can try and adress in the tips section obviously.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum from someone else in your region. I'm hoping to get down to the Seattle area later this year to play some; top of my list is to get down and try Chambers Bay.

Enjoy.
