Okay, I am hooked on golf. Bad. One of my golfing buddies is a teacher I work with, and he just got the head coach job for the girl's golf team. I applied for the assistant's job.

Mostly, I will keep up with gear, transport the kids to practice/lessons, and stuff. The coach will teach me simple things, and I will instruct the JV.

Extra money, golf course membership discounts, go to new courses, meet new people, new golf contacts.

Did I just seriously screw up, or is this going to be okay? Anyone else out there instruct kids in golf?

A friend of mine coaches a HS golf team...not much coaching going on. He spends his time organizing the matches, coordinating transport and baby-sitting. But he gets free golf out of it! Have fun!

I do some power skating and defensive coaching with a local Pee Wee team. Its not as hard as you think. You wont be alone.

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

I am a high school counselor and coach our golf team. Coaching is a stretch though as I organize things and get them to tournaments. Most on my team are getting lessons from a pro. it's a good gig; nice kids, fun time and free golf.

Okay . . . got the job today. Varsity Coach has already given me a buttload of stuff to do . . . it looks challenging. Season starts July 15th, and I can't wait. I get a discount membership to one of the nicest golf courses in the state, which serves as our home course:
