Hi there!

2 months ago i bought a white Ping bag, it´s white and blue, the G5 9.5" model. I bought it new so it looked fantastic in my opinion.

The thing is i want to keep the bag as new as possible, any tip about how to clean the bag? Right now i just clean the areas where the bag has been in contact with my trolley, and i use water and soap, but any advice from you will be welcome. I have noticed that alcohol may damage the bag, i used it today on a little area where soap was not capable of taking out he dirt and although it cleaned well, it seems it also deteriorated the zone a bit.

In my bag:
Cleveland DST Tour 9.5 Diamana
Callaway Diablo Tour 15º

Callaway Razr 5 wood
TaylorMade Tour Preferred 3-PW
Callaway Forged 56º, Titleist Vokey 58º

Odyssey White Hot 1

Srixon Z-Star

My bag is black....so it hides most things really well.

I have a small whish broom in my truck that I use to brush out the floor area....I also will brush dust and mess off my golf bag prior to taking it in the house....I do not store my sticks in the car or garage...inside only....so keeping a clean bag is a priority.

A white bag would present more difficulty...but shouldn't be too hard. One of the laundry detergent companies makes a device that is like a larger ink pen...but it removes stains swiftly. A couple of these may work well for you.

Good luck.........I had a white ping bag years ago and it was the pits. Looked great new but keeping it clean was a major hassle. Use it till it looks awful and then punt.

I've got a white ogio bag and it's got some kind of coating over the fabric which keeps it pretty clean, actually, never had to actually scrub it off. I would say, try the oxy clean, it's not supposed to be damaging at all so just take a shot in the dark, grab a bit, and let us know how it works out.

My thoughts exactly. My first new set was Tommy Armour 845's. Got the white Tommy Armour bag, man was that sharp looking. For about six months. My current Callaways rest in a BLACK Callaway bag. My walking bag is black too. Doubt I will ever buy another color golf bag.

After you have cleaned it spray some scotch guard on it. It will be much easier to clean in future

I used to carry a white bag too which I diligently cleaned each time I finished my game. And, since I used to play in the 'tropics,' the bag (and clubs etc) would get dirty quickly. I simply used warm water and some soap. I also used a cleaning solvent which was available at most hardware stores (I can't recall what it's called).

After a few months, I just gave up. It was too much trouble and no matter how much cleaning I did, the bag never quite looked the same. Now I carry a dark blue Callaway bag. Stains schmains :P

In my bag:

3W: Burner 2009 15˚
5W: Burner 2008 18˚R: Rescue Burner 25˚I: X-20 (4-SW)W: CG12 52˚P: Black #2

not certain about bags specifically, but two cleaners that work wonders are Fantastik and plain old vinegar & water.

One of the courses I play is dusty as all hell, so I use a cheap Physics cart bag when I play there . . . think it was less than 40 bucks shipped on Ebay. I use a brush and soap and water on it weekly.

When I play nicer (less dusty) courses, I use my Cleveland bag. When I walk, I use my Ping Hoofer bag. Same thing - brush the dust off of it, and hit it in spots with soapy water.

In my Cart Bag:
Driver: R7 Draw 9*
3W: Ovation 15*
Hybrid Halo 19* 2H, Halo 22* 3H
Irons: i/3 O-Size 4-PWSW: Vokey SM 56*Putter: Anser

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
