Kudos to JT for saving and creating a super "eco-friendly" course

They did a segment with him about this on "Golf in America" on the Golf Channel, I am assuming you saw that one?

yes.
Really think the course will also attract some of the tours to host events.
The Hooters tour used to play their many years ago and I'd love to see the Nationwide or LPGA move in and play their.

Nice. Timberlake is quickly becoming one of my favorite musicians. And I don't think I've heard any of his music in recent memory, but that doesn't stop him from being a new favorite.

I remember a time i could not stand this guy, but it really was just because he was too young to be "out there" as himself, so I didn't know anything about him. As it turns out he's a super cool dude. Big sports guy (hysterical on sportscenter a few weeks ago), and obviously way into golf.

Big props to JT...

Hey BigTazz,

Do you have a tee time for tomorrow? I just found out about the course today, from a non-golfer, and have registered at the site and going to reserve a tee time asap.

A little tip, if you play this course, and stop in for a snack at the turn, don't order "the box" lunch.

    • First round at Quail Ridge: 47 + 47 = 94 *Note: It was 25+ mph winds with gust in the 35+ mph. It was also around 58 degrees. I felt like I was out in Oregon. The greens were very firm.  Driver was decent. It didn't cause me an issues.  Irons were the biggest issue. Just low point control was lacking. Mostly on the chunky side. Also, my irons were routinely 20-30 yards shorter than normal. Even on holes with a cross wind, the ball was just dying. We played an extra 9 holes after the first 18, and the wind died down by then. I stepped into a 9 iron, and it came up 15 yards short. I have no clue what is going on. I should not be hitting 9 irons 140 yards when I am hitting my driver 300 to 310 yards.  Warmup didn't give me much confidence. I just kept shanking every other iron shot. I didn't shank an iron during the round. I just felt all out of sorts today. Coordinate felt off.  yea, I have no idea if I am purposely slowing down my swing to feel my downswing piece. Again, I hit a decent 9 iron and lost 15 yards of carry. I hope this is just an off day.
    • Day 565 - 2026-04-19 Wanted to get home to do some spring cleaning type stuff, so I practiced for about seven or eight minutes and got my butt home. Just backswing stuff, mostly, with freezers and a little downswing feel. Liking the new big mirror I have.

    • Well that's about the dumbest thing I've read today.
