I consider myself to be passionate about the game, but not so much about the peripheral issues that you mention. I love to play. Since I'm retired, I can play 3 or 4 times a week, but I don't spend much time practicing any more. I work part time as a starter to support my habit.

I frequent several golf websites, but at least 50% of my posting is on rules topics. I study the rules, and on the course I live by the rules. In my opinion, anyone who doesn't is not as passionate about the game as they think they are.

I don't subscribe to any golf publications, I'm not glued to the Golf Channel, I clean my clubs as I play so I don't have to do it off the course. I don't really anticipate casual rounds quite like you do, but I do look forward eagerly to club tournaments.

Whenever I was in school, I always focused on it and never got out to play much. it was mostly just for fun every now and then. but since I've finished school, I see myself wanting to play more and more and wanting to get better and better. I see golf changing from a casual hobby to a passion. It's not quite there yet, but hopefully I'll continue to play a lot this summer because I really enjoy just going out on the course and hitting the ball.

1) Do you think about golf all the time?

- Yes. Especially now, because the weather doesn't permit it. 2) Do you check the wheather for golf? - Yes. Right when I thought we might have a bit of a temperature upswing, we got 6-8 inches of snow. It's just melting today. 3) Do you clean the club the night before you are going to play and organize your bag? - I usually clean them after I get back from playing. I always pre-organize the bag. 4) Do you surf the web and go on site like this one about golf? - Yep. 5) Do you arrange appointments around golf? - Don't have many appointments, and when I do they're not re-schedule-able. So kind of a moot question. 6) The priorities of family, work and golf are changing - Just married, she's definitely more important. 7) Do you visualize your last round and see how you could of lowered your score - I visualize most of the bad shots from the entire game. 8) All the literature around your bed is on golf - Only have one golf book, and it's humor. 9) When you switch to Direct TV or Comcast the first thing you make sure is that you get the Golf Channel - Don't have TV, but if I did and I paid for a lot of channels I'd watch the Golf Channel. Watching golf is much lower on my list of priorities, though. 10) You wake up in the morning before anybody in your family to go play golf - I'm not a morning person. And since I enjoy it and find it (in theory) relaxing, I prefer twilight hours. Only golfed in the morning once. 11) I read countless reviews before buying any club. Since I'm still not fully confident in my own opinion/assessment, I put almost equal weight on credible reviews as my own experience with the club.
I took my clubs on my honeymoon.

We went to the Cayman Islands last September for our honeymoon. I considered doing the same, but my wife made it clear that if I did, we wouldn't be the only thing swimming with the fish.
