HUGE trueblood fan..

Still trying to figure out what mary ann is.. Is she a demon?

No, and I'm upset that I'm not into it. I don't have cable, but I need to find a way to watch it. I was a big fan of Angel and really enjoy most vampire stories (there is one notable exception). So, I'm not a fan yet, but that will change as soon as I get my hands on the DVDs.

HUGE trueblood fan..

Is she the "pig" creature?

My girlfriend's sister spoiled it for her. She has read the books. I dont know who she is or the pig creature. And i dont want to know till they tell us. Good show.

I was thinking about getting into this show. I haven't had anything to watch with Lost and Heroes off, Battlestar Galactica over and Sopranos/Deadwood gone.

I was under the impression it was a romantic thing though, or am I mistaken?

It is a great show, not to much romance. Interesting story line and a bunch of crazy stuff going on.

HBO definitely has produced some great shows. In my opinion, the best they have ever made is "The Wire" You want to watch a show that epitomizes social commentary with no sugar coating. Get a subscription to netflix and have the 5 seasons of The Wire consume your life.

Yup....Lafayette is a cool character. He's one interprising hustler. I laughed hard when Eric came over and let him feed. He went nuts on the 1,000 year old V.

HUGE trueblood fan..

She's something pretty powerful, no doubt. By the time Bill and Sookie get back she'll have taken over completely....if she hasn't already. Sam needs some help badly now.

I wonder what Jason will amount to. He's about to be tested big-time, it seems. Season Two has been nuts so far....so much happening every episode. It's tough to wait it out between shows.

I cant wait for the next episode to see what happens to Sam. Theres always so much left wide open to cover in the next episode which makes it so addicting.

It would be a difficult show to start watching now. I recommend getting the first season (netflix) and starting from there. If you enjoy vampire lore, and are not object to graphic violence and on screen sex and nudity, you will probably enjoy the show.

I wonder how the conversation between Sam and the detective will be. I also wonder how many other kinds of supernaturals exist? They have already shown us shape shifters, vampires, what ever mary-anne is, and they have mentioned warewolves.

I agree with the other poster. I don't think you can just pick up halfway into the second season and 'get it'. I'd recommend starting at the beginning and watching a couple episodes and see if you like it.

My wife loves vampire movies and shows and I don't really care one way or the other so I didn't think I'd really be that into the show but we sat down one weekend and watched nearly the whole first season from start to finish on HBO onDemand and I was hooked. As the other poster said though, there is quite a bit of language and nudity so if that's someone you're bothered by, probably best not to watch.

last nights episode did alot to advance the story, and it setup for an interesting last few episodes of the season.

***SPOILER ALERT*** If you have not seen the episode first aired on 8/9/2009, stop reading now.

Although its not part of the main plot line, Jessica being the eternal virgin was interesting.
